is someone who doesn't believe in the Bible really a Christian though?

Its not the Bible that makes a Christian. It is Christ who makes us a Christian. It is how believe according to the Holy Spirit's conviction, not to our reasoning or knowledge.

Well, I've seen people on CF who unintentionally hurt others with what they say... but if they do it unintentionally, then they aren't wolves, they just aren't aware that they hurt someone.
Whatever....

You did not respond to my post where I said you were now responsible for those souls who listen and believe what you teach them.

I would like to say that I am very, very wary and alarmed by a Sock account giving such strong advice to us Christians. Think about this, folks! We have someone who is BEING DECEPTIVE telling folks how to be good Christians!

Now, that is not to say that he is wrong. I am still considering his advice to me. HOWEVER, one would think that TRUTH should come from TRUTH, so I challenge Mr. Sock to remove his mask. I will CERTAINLY take his advice more seriously, then.

Christianity which leads to salvation and not feel-good warm fuzzies is not diverse at it's core.

But if that "conviction" (gay marriage is acceptable) doesn't measure against God's Word then is it a viable "conviction"?

and how do we know who Christ is? The Bible
Studying the scriptures requires the Holy Spirit which is inward, not outward. The Holy Spirit is within us believers, Christ dwells in our hearts, and "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) is the burning core of the Christian faith.

In the beginning was the WORD! How can we seperate ourselves from the Word of God? What is the Bible for if not for our benefit and to help us grow in the Lord?

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the Bible is infallible.
Christianity which leads to salvation and not feel-good warm fuzzies is not diverse at it's core.

Christianity is very diverse, and different Christians believe different things about salvation. Just because one brand of Christianity believes it's the only true way to salvation it doesn't mean that it must be true.

I have to say, Jim, that I'm shocked that these wishy-washy self-involved posts have been from you. What happened to your fire?

But isn't that ....limiting?

Why have a limit? Why not let people have 100+ socks to pad the vote. It's a high school popularity contest now and there is nothing that will change that.

LOGOS=Christ
LOGOS=/=collection of ancient texts
Christ=/=collection of ancient texts

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

There's a comma after righteousness, not a period, and verse 17 completes the clause with a statement that sets a boundary to verse 16.
