Lisa asked this in the last thread but I'm also curious about those who have been banned. uhh...no reason, no reason ::shifty eyes:: just curious.I'ld be interested in knowing myself. I've had upwards of a dozen different account, some of them with good lives. Perhaps we've met before.
Revelation tells us otherwise. Its amazing. I think its never going to end.
That would be a surprise. While we're all debating, the change takes place in 5, 4, 3...
That's probably not a bad stance overall. I think everyone has reason for a little anxiety here. But if we can use the history of other forums as a model, overall it will be a very positive change. At most a few of us here will need to thicken our skins a bit but that's never a bad thing. We should never fear hearing the opinions of others, even if expressed in an abrasive fashion. We still can (I assume), use Ignore if we find certain personalities too abrasive for our personal tastes.Repeating what I said in the last thread before it closed:
I'm just concerned about hotheads from both ends of the spectrum (believers and non-believers). It's not a concern that the sole problem will be non-believers. I just want to clarify that.
Explanation: I'm not attempting to demonize anyone.
Now that is a great signature. As far as I am concerned, the main change has occurred.
"Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!" Martin Luther King, Jr.
I think I am going to add that to my signature!!!

This time...
Thank you for your kind words in the previous thread. I was trying to reply back to you when the thread split. It means alot coming from you. I totally respect you even if 99.9% of the time we disagree.
Lisa
I did not have a chance to respond to you before the old thread closed, but I wanted to say thankyou for your kind words.

One question we could be asking is about the nature of the democratization? Is this going to be strict majoritarian or constitutional, so to speak. I.e. will there be limits on the majority, or at least the prospect of overrides?
If the majority vote in a jerk, does he stay no matter how unfair he is? Or will he be taken out? If so, then is he ineligible to run again for a time?
(While others may fear non-Christian mods, I am at least a little concerned that we may end up with a power struggle wherein different camps seek to get the least moderate folks in they can. It does sometimes happen that someone is a moderator in name only and I could see strict majoritarian appoaches leading down that path. Mind you I'm not so scared of this I oppose the reform; but it is a concern.)
If there were details on this, I missed them. Will the hierearchy be determined by direct democracy, or will it be elected by the other moderators?
