If a Jehovah's Witness honestly follows Christ, they can have a Christian icon. It's that simple, and it's nothing wrong with that.

Weird question  yes, of course...
Jehovah's witnesses are no better than Islamic extremists.

You watch too much US media.

Jehovah's Witnesses deny the deity of Christ, which is central to the Christian faith. If He wasn't God, your belief in Him is in vain.

The way things are set up to be if enough people wikified it the site could set up Christ to be female.

Good luck!

You cannot ascertain that on a discussion forum. The most you can do is decide, after having interacted with them for sometime, that they do not fit YOUR definition of Christian. But you cannot say they are not christians without knowing them.

Didn't realise there was more than one!

of course that there are many false Christs is central to this ongoing division , light and darkness never mix... not even if a concensus is reached .

Not all division is bad , just as not all unity is good.

I think the mod thing needed sorting , but the rest of the changes are too drastic , liberals and atheists will enjoy this new CF , but conservatives and Evangelicals will not.

You should have seen some posters put up at my college campus about 15 years ago by the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual Club...in the San Francisco area.

My point is that according to the new rules, these are now apparently valid expressions of a person's 'individual Christianity'...and to challenge them will apparently now be against the rules.
Why would it be against the rules? If someone has views you disagree with, you can debate it with them. You can say "You're wrong, because.... (and here you give your argments)". You just can't say "You're not a Christian" or "I'm a better Christian than you".

another question that i would like to have an anwer for:
If Jesus came to put a set of rules why would He die?
So if anyone who agrees with what Jesus says and follow his words is he a christian? Don't we need to acept Him as a Savior to be Christians??! Pleaseee
Just also to let u know oher faith have the same set if rulues what makes us diffrent?

No. According the the new rule, a Christian icon is a sign that someone self-identifies as a Christian. Some people here seem to be afraid that everyone, no matter what they believe, will pick Christian icons.... If a non-Christian did it, then they would be lying. But with the previous rule, such a person could just as well lie about agreeing with the Nicene Creed.
I am not tlaking about the liars now i am jsut wondring the question i posted above can u please take a look at it. thanks

resignations - used to be a way to blackmail ...

Yep. That's my motivation. Blackmail. Because I'm so important if I don't like something I expect Erwin will say "hold up! Let's get meh happy before we move on with anything."

Seriously. Sometimes people just say there's something here I can't work to support and so I'll be leaving staff now.

I'm guessing when you left staff standing up for what you believed in that was different, though, correct? Because your reasons were really good and ours aren't. Or something.

the fears of popularity contests just show how little faith the mods do have in people..patronising till the end:holy:

Way to take people's heartfelt concerns and twist them. If you feel patronised it's only because you're choosing to be.

Dang. You know what? I like this. I no longer have to care if you're offended by what I've written. Being off staff is actually quite fun.

Now I'll toodle off to put some Metallica lyrics into my signature.

Your basic fundamental of Christianity is not someone else's basic fundamental of Christianity.
This is true.
Only God knows which 'Christians' truly follow Christ, and only God knows which 'Christians' are truly trying to follow Christ. We deceive even ourselves.

this isn't a debate. The Bible is obvious, to those who God allows to understand it. The others, see a bunch of cool stories

But now there won't even be any lying about it. There is now no standard for calling oneself a Christian. The entire New Testament was written on the.....

why even bother now? It's moot.
