You have my vote right now. Start the poll and I'll be first to pull "yes."

The issue is truth not personalities. (Gal 1:8; 2 Nephi 5:21)

Maybe Warren Jeffs can dial in from jail and be a mod too?

Translated out of liberalese that means that liberals get to do the excluding so that is alright then!

If no one is excluded or prohibited from certain forums then who are the liberals excluding?

This is the big joke with liberalism, its tolerant of everything but any opposition to itself.

Huh?

It's a discussion forum. Why should there be forums that some people can't discuss or debate within?

That's the real joke. Liberals simply allow and encourage discussion, debate, and are open to new ideas.

I guess you're not...

Whatever else Cf is now attempting to do its not looking to unite all Christians, you cannot do that by wholesale backing of a factions view ( in this case the liberal faction ) and muzzling of the opposition which of course will continue when you people dont like what was said because it offends against your vision.

Well it's intolerant views like the one you are espousing that is the source of factions and division.

Jesus would be so proud :)

Well, I'm a liberal, and I wouldn't want to exclude conservatives and fundamentalists from posting on CF... so you shouldn't generalize like that. I think that most liberals wouldn't exclude someone for being conservative.

Very true.

Funny thing is I'm not even all that liberal just open minded and willing to discuss with a wide variety of people.

I don't see how walls and exclusionary mentalities unite anyone.

Thank you Erwin for tearing down the walls...

I'm glad for most of these changes. In fact I recognize a few I had suggested a couple years ago myself when battling against injustice. Namely that some "pagans" on CF were acting more Christlike than some Christians. And that I would rather have a pagan mod who did the works of Christ than a "Christian" mod who used his or her position as a power platform to dictate a bunch of pet rules.

How about a mod who believes Jesus is an ELF ???
Good idea ???

Who benefits from these rules? The libs, the gays, the cults.
There's nothing bad about the first two groups benefiting from it. As for cults, I don't see how they would benefit. I don't think that an actual cult would recruit people by a forum like this.

Do you really even know what an Elf is, and will you stoop to use this thread for a personal attack?
Bottom line - elves are immortal, and I would hope you believe Jesus is immortal.... therefore that settles it!:p

As long as someone believes Jesus is who he is recorded as being in the gospels, what's the problem? Besides, looks like we can have Wiccan and Mormon, and JW mods now so what if someone believes Jesus is an Elf.

And if you were suggesting nominating me please don't I am WAYYYY too busy to possibly take on another possition. I own several groups & am mod of others.

Christians are to be like Christ, not Pharisees.

Matthew 9:11
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"

Luke 15:2
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."

Just trying to soak in the news here...

So it's mob rule now, eh? What fun. I'm sure lots of sock puppets have already registered to vote.
Every member now has a voice in how this site is run. If you were aware of the previous structure, the authority was four senior ranking staff members that made every single rule and policy with or without input from anyone else.

I'll vote for the first two members who are currently showing themselves to be arch enemies on this thread, who follow the teachings of Christ and do what is above human nature by God's calling, and through his grace manage to lay asside differences long enough to find common ground.....thus learning to repsect each others differences, learn from each other, and are, therefore, capable of embracing the humanity that is reaching out behind their computer screens.

They will have my vote. (IF they are able to get past their anger long enough to read what I wrote.)

Prayerfully for CF,

Faithmom

speaking as a Christian PASTOR I ask ... does Truth matter?

John 4:23

Nothing is stopping the rules from developing in a manner in which threads could be moderated for content and moved to a more appropriate forum.

Proclaiming something as true does not make it true. Explaining and discussing why or how something is true or relevant is a much better way of approaching evangelism anyway...

Nobody buys the Nicene Creed is true so if you don't agree with it you can't post in the country club section approach to evangelism anyway...

It hasn't worked well thus far.
