A Need To Process Our Experiences

Hope everyone is well.

I got a stupid staff infection...I'm on two different antibiotics. Yuck. I hardly ever get sick so it's just irritating me to no end...lol. I should be good as new soon though so no use in whining about it.

I just wanted to check in and say hi, love and miss you all!

Hey J&P, so glad you are getting some rest! I'm also SO glad it's Friday!! Even though I have to come in and work tomorrow.

The staph infection is just underneath my right nostril...lol. So disgusting! Alexis scratched me there about about 2 weeks ago and it turned into this staph infection. I also have a swollen gland which he said is part of my body fighting off the infection.

He thinks my body is trying to fight off a cold virus as well...ugh!

It's Impetigo or something like that...staph infection. It's really small...you can't even see it unless I point it out but it sure is irritating...lol. I guess this can overtake your face so I caught it early...thank goodness! How awful it would have been to have to go to work with a big scab covering my face!!

Some more news...

...tonight is Homecoming at my girls' school. My soon to be 14 year old is going to the homecoming dance with a boy!!!!

He goes to our church and we know his family really well. He's a real sweetheart and the two have been friends forever so it's more like a friendship thing than a romantic interest thing...I think!

My oldest is also attending the dance with a bunch of her girl friends.

It's too bad I can't be a chaprone tonight.

But now the house is a mess!
I haven't done DEEP cleaning in 3 years!
Just moved the furniture out and wiping down the baseboards and trim.

Actually, how embarrassing, that IS fun for me! Unfortunately now that I clean for others, there isn't enough time to do my own house very well! But not bc I don't want to....

editting to add: I am on here bc my movie was interrupted to inspect my older son's room which he was supposed to clean for the last three days. I keep going in and finding all kinds of stuff under the bed.
Clearly he didn't inherit my love for cleaning!

Sooo, I had a couple of hours nap on the sofa again and I've been awake for another few. I have to knock this off! I at least need to do this while you guys are on here!!

We'll be going to church in the morning. First time in a long time I'm looking forward to it. I'm excited for the possiblities that lie in this place, among these people. What comes to fruition remains to be seen, but the possibilities are good.

Morning Family!

I used to love to clean too BW. I did my house perfectly and the floors on my hands and knees every week. Something changed with the divorce though. I still want a clean house, I just don't want to do it. Same thing at work - I just don't have those same feelings about it anymore. Weird, huh? I wonder what happens in a divorce to change our feelings about other things?

Anyway - I did thoroughly enjoy cleaning yesterday. I only got through the living room, dining room and kitchen though!!! I'm moving much slower than I used to!!!

My mom had high blood pressure. I remember whenever her blood pressure medicine made her levels normal - it would make her sleep. It was like she functioned better when it was high!
