Columbus's religious faith motivated his triumphant voyage.

Today, we celebrate the great legacy of Christopher Columbus. With a deep and abiding faith in God and against seemingly insurmountable odds, Columbus led a voyage of three ships across the Atlantic Ocean and discovered America. The result of his brave expedition led to subsequent expeditions to America and, ultimately, the formation of the United States.

Slavery, war, and cannibalism were rampant in America before Columbus or the Spanish landed in the New World.

Leftist activists seek to destroy Columbus’s legacy and, by extension, damage America’s moral legitimacy. Decrying racism and genocide, the followers of woke leftism demand Columbus’s name be removed from history and replaced with the approved holiday of the liberal regime. Columbus represents the goodness of Christianity and America; therefore, he is the first enemy of the woke left revisionists. (READ MORE: The Historical Falsification of Columbus’ ‘Crimes’)

Columbus is not a villain — he is the hero of America. His faith, determination, and courage transformed America into the nation we have today. To that, we must be thankful.

And this is what is happening in MA. People have such a bad education on who Columbus was,
it's causing idiotic bills like this one.

"I would just encourage people, if they have the means and ability, to give it back and if they don't, maybe help Indigenous people take it back," said Adam Khalil, a filmmaker and one of the three Indigenous artists behind the exhibit. It runs through mid-October.

"Giving land back to Indigenous peoples may....seem unimaginable. But the artists say that helping people imagine the unimaginable is one of the purposes of art."

The historical legacy of Christopher Columbus is tarred by bad history in the quest to change Columbus Day, according to a researcher who has focused on Columbus' religious motives for exploration.

"They're blaming Columbus for the things he didn't do. It was mostly the people who came after, the settlers," Prof. Carol Delaney told CNA in 2017. "I just think he's been terribly maligned."

"I think a lot of people don't know anything much, really about Columbus," said Delaney, an anthropology professor emerita at Stanford University and the author of the 2011 book "Columbus and the Quest for Jerusalem."

When Columbus made his first voyage, he left behind 39 of his own men before returning to Spain.
When he returned for his 2nd voyage, all 39 had been murdered by the tribe he left them with.

This alone should be evidence that Columbus was not out to enslave the natives. After all, he
didn't have enough men to do so and the fact that 39 of his men were killed, should leave no
doubt that the natives knew how to kill the Europeans if they desired.
