A Little Help with Researcch

This may be a bit strange question, but I am curious as to what type of poetry you would like to read. I am posing this question on many forums because I am working on a collection of poetry and I do not wish to write poetry for other poets, but for people, so tell me, what is interesting? Whether you read poetry or not, what topic would you read a poem about? If you can't think of anything, that's fine too, but thank you anyway.

I personally don't read poetry, and I don't know what types there are. The dark stuff... um that's cool, whatever that is in poetry. The happy bunny stuff is brilliant, though.

You might have better luck picking a publisher first and write your poetry geared toward the publishers taste. After all they know their market.

Google Artists & Writers Yearbook

It analyses each mag etc open to freelance contributions & recommends what style & length they like to get

A publisher I worked for - www.stl.org.uk - recommended that folk start by sending stuff to mags etc that they know & like, as you know their style well

You'll see features I did in summer/fall @ online creative writing courses & how to find a good literary agent
