A little help from a UK brother, please

Hello ladies and gents,
I recently was blessed enough to visit southern England. I met a gentleman at the airshow I was attending who wanted me to send him some of the paraphernalia (t-shirts, pens, coins, etc) from our squadron. He gave me his card, but there is no phone number on the card. He lives in Chesterfield S41 8TH. Could anyone help me get a number so I could call him instead of writing to him? I think he intended to give me his number because he talked about talking on the phone. If you can help, please PM me and I will give you his name and address. I'll give 1000 blessings to anyone who can get me the number.

if you can supply a surname, initial and address, it should be fairly simple to find the phone number (providing he is not ex-directory)

If you'd rather not give the name and address out (and it might not be a good idea to do so) then the BT (British Telecom) web site will be the best place to go:

I tried to type in the address here but was told i couldn't until I had 15 posts - sorry!

but if you go to (w...bt.com)

then to "Directory Enquiries" you will be able to type in your details and (hopefully) obtain the information you want.

Ok. I went to the BT site, but couldn't find it. Is the BT site comprehensive? Or does the phone book for Chesterfield have more entries.
I'll post the guy's name for a short while, then edit it out later so his info doesn't just hang around on the web:

Sorry, I've typed the information into the BT web site and it comes up not available - perhaps this chap is ex-directory. Sorry, I was unable to help - if i think of anything else, I'll post here

May just be easier to write a quick note asking for his number? If he's not in the BT phonebook, he is most likely ex directory, so his number will prove very difficult to get hold of, unless by chance someone knows of him.

I agree with the above - the BT web site contains all the entries in the various UK regional phone books. If he is not listed, his is likely to be ex-directory and will not appear in the local phonebooks either. It may well be that a letter is now your only option.
