I am 52 yrs. old , was raised Roman Catholic , married , 3 children , work as an Engineering Technican , for civil engineering firm in Springfield , IL.
In 1992 we switched churches , to learn the Bible as protestants , to step out on " what if what the Bible says is true , literally " . We have been blessed , are active in our church as youth ministers , jail ministers , letter writers , witnesses , and comforters of all of God's children .
We are presently members of a Protestant Word of Faith Church , both Maryann and I are Bible School graduates , I am presently working on a correspondance Masters degree in Theology .
Some times I seem to come out of left field with a post .... trying to convey , as the Paul Harvey program , " the rest of the story " , the context , the other meanings within a passage , or to point out errors in a particular passage .
Some times I blow it , as I have a couple of times with our Catholic brother's here , by doing the wrong thing at the right time or the right thing at the wrong time . I seek not to offend but to sow a seed , that the Holy Spirit might water it within them .
I post some times on www.oncecatholic.org as scewa, sceva to edify , to exhort , to point people at Jesus , at the Holy Spirit , at little books by Og Mandino , TD Jakes , or Joyce Meyers .... all who have wrestled with defeat , molestation , and sucidal temptations .
When we learn that all of God's babys have some truth , that we all are the same body irrespective of name tags , and when we all bring our piece of the puzzle together , we start to see wonderful things happen : the power of agreement , the grace of God , and the blood and the name of Jesus .
