  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Scripture says;

Luke 5:31 (CSB)
Jesus replied to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick.

Meaning that only those that realize, they are lacking something, or in need of something, will be those that search out that thing that will fill whatever lack they preceive in themselves. This alludes to the truth that there will be some that perceive no need or lack, so no need of a doctor or to search anything out.

(Scripture does bring forth both types of men. So they do exist, but let us not be, as scripture says, “those that shrink back”)

Moving on;

Scripture says;

“ask and it shall be given you”

“knock and it shall be opened”

“seek and you shall find”

These promises, (for that is what they are) are only for those that, do ask, that, do seek, that, do knock, but one can only seek or ask according to the desires of their heart. For it is with the heart man believes and desires. Moreover, we are told to “guard our hearts with all diligence for out of it come the issues of life”.

Again we have the promise;

Jeremiah 29:13 (NASB)
“You will seek Me and find [Me] when you search for Me with all your heart.”

For the heart that sees and feels it’s own lack or need, will be the one that is filled.

But rest assured, if your searching, and you feel and find your heart lacking, yet you still can not find God as a living reality, whereby you know that you know Him, and you know that He knows you. Whereby your fellowship with Him would be unstained by the works of the flesh. It’s not that God is slack concerning His promises. It is that the, “oh wretched man that I am” has not been reached yet. It is the deep, that He is going for, the “all of you” that you may be dealt with once and for all, so you might be able to walk in newness of life. That the Victorious Christian life might be yours for the duration of your life, in this world, than deeper and more real in the next. But when it is finally yours, as a real possession in the here and now, you will look back at God’s dealing in your life, and your heart will bless His name with a real and heart felt “Yes, God is good, God is Great, His love for me is eternal”. So I encourage all to stay the course, for He shall be found by all those that search for Him with all their hearts”

Blessings to all that are willing to be brought that low, or to the end of themselves. For the journey may seem long, but the joy and peace and victory over all things that would disturb your fellowship, with the One Who loves you, will have been more than worth, the price paid.

Blessings to all that are willing to pay the price.

Much love in Christ, Not me
