Just plug in "your faith" and this will give you several New Testament scriptures in using (your faith) and as your knowledge increases to the truth that we ALL have been given the same measure of faith. Hagin Sr. was teaching his son to help him to grow in his own faith from the knowledge and understanding of the Word. It must have been obvious to Hagin Sr. that Jr's faith wasn't developed enough at (15) years old and at some point Hagin Jr. needed to step up and take responsibility for his own relationship with Christ.
We ALL receive the same measure of faith (same as Jesus) but we all don't operate at the same level of "the" (full) measure given by God. This begs the question! Does anyone? You can feed your spirit on God’s Word and thereby feed your faith, because God’s Word is faith food. Hagin Jr. needed to exercise his faith to develop it and cause it to grow to believe for his own healing.
You see, (Hagin Sr.) says God gets everyone started off the same way. He doesn’t give one person more faith than He gives another. He gives to every man the measure of faith. Then your faith grows according to what you do with it.
A commentor once stated that we soon discover that a life with God can’t be developed "on the fumes" of our parents’ faith or church community alone. Faith and life with God has to become something they seek and grow in maturity and believe for themselves. Hagin Jr. needed to develope and (fuel) his own faith from hearing, and hearing the Word of God. (Hebrews 11:1)
At the moment we receive Christ as our Savior, we are born again spiritually into God's family. But just as a newborn baby requires nourishing milk for growth and good development, so also a baby Christian requires spiritual food for growth. "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good" (1 Peter 2:2-3). Milk is used in the New Testament as a symbol of what is basic to the Christian life. (GotQuestions.org)
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil (Hebrews 5:12-14). Paul saw the same problem with the Corinthian believers (1 Corinthians 3:1-3); they had not grown in their faith, and he could only give them "milk" because they were not ready for solid food. (GotQuestions.org).
Here is just a few on "growing in faith."
(2 Peter 3:18) We are commanded in Scripture to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (This growth is spiritual growth, growing in faith).
(2 Corinthians 10:15) Nor do we boast beyond certain limits in the work done by others, but we hope that as (your faith) continues to grow, our work may be greatly expanded among you according to our limits,
(2 Thessalonians 1:3 ) We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because (your faith) is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
(Philippians 1:25) Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of (your faith).
(Colossians 2:7) Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then (your faith) will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Hope this helps...
