a hard question for me.

hello. i do part time ministry with my church in Canada and it is a street ministry.

a particular individual asked me some questions about this and that regarding new age stuff and current events in viw of scripture and the like. quite pleasant to engage most of the time.

he asked me about reiki attunements and all that stuff and once distinctions were made he asked can one who first believed, left his faith and got reiki attunements ever come back to God? or has that one trampled teh blood?


i told him i didnt have an a nswer and that i would think on one.

i do have some partial ways to answer this person, but seek outside input.

my church has a small congregation of well balanced mature christians that preach a simple gospel of Christ cricified and now lets walk in Him.

some do deliverance ministry but i am unsure of all of thier beliefs and doctorine as it tends to wiggle away from scripture too much.

this is why i am unsatisfied with the answers i currently have.

1 John 1:9 tells us that if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive. This passage is written to believers. If a person is truly repentant the Lord welcomes him back.

but these attunements (whatever they are) apperently get stuck in your spirit or something... i dont know too much about new age beliefs, but with these truths,
sometimes it is hard putting it in terms they speak... if all i do is quote it direct, they see that as brainwashed and cant answer outside the program.

wich i can see thier point. we as monisters aught to be able to articulate truth intelligently, clearly and simple.

anyhow thanks for the reply. i am just not sure if actual deliverance on this matter wold actually be necisary or not. i havent approached the deliverance ministry in my church with this yet, but if i see it necessary ill arrage it.

Ask this person if he has ever done something to hurt someone he loves and afterward he feels so bad about it he says he never wants to do that again? That is repentance.

When we realize that breaking God's law grieves Jesus and we "feel bad" and don't want to do it again. When we acknowledge that Jesus is God, that Jesus took our punishment for sin. When we are willing to say, "Jesus I submit to you. I know that I am weak and I ask you to give me the strength to obey. Give me the wisdom to understand truth. Give me the desire and truth to follow that truth."

Pray, pray, pray - only the Holy Spirit can convict, you have no control over that. You present the truth and then leave it in the Lord's hands. Ask the Lord to give you the words that they will be able to grasp and understand.

the question was not really aimed at acceptance. God has never said no to a humble and contrite heart. anyhow, that question was posted a while ago and have told this guy, after i considered cearfully, i told him Reikki can only touch your illusions. it is a truth encounter not a power encounter. I told him not to stress over it, as long as he really means it when he expresses his faith.
