A 'Good Secret'...!!??

Hey all
Lately Chris has been teasing me about a 'good secret' that he's keeping from me. He said I'll know by the end of the year (lol. So informative). And he's meeting with our youth/young adults pastor this Thursday, to discuss a bunch of things (he's trying to come back to God), including this 'secret'.

He said if he gives me any hints at all, I'll know what it is straight away.
It all seems like it's pointing towards a proposal right? But apparently not, according to him. So that drives me crazier, because I guess I just have no clue at all... *sigh*

I'm the biggest control freak. I have to know everything. He's sooo doing this on purpose!!! Tehehe....

Any ideas what his secret could be??

I definitely won't be disappointed if it's not a proposal. I know there's one coming up at some point some day in the next year or so, and I'm happy to sit and wait till then
But having a specific 'secret' that he can rub in my face when he wants is super hard!!! (Not that he uses it in such an evil way... mostly...)

When I have a good idea for a surprise, treat, or gift for Nadine, I want to tell her right away... I'm bad at keeping secrets like those. But I still want to surprise her. So I might tell her that I have a plan and that may satisfy my desire to tell her enough that i can keep the details a secret. Also, if for instance I was planning something special in 69 days, if she starts anticipating now it is like I am already surprising her and it kind of spreads out the appreciation. Does that make sense to you? It's like getting extra days worth of gratitude or approval ... like getting points for planning and working on the surprise, not just waiting to get points when I spring it.

In short, humor him ... show interest and curiosity but have fun with it, don't let it really get to you, just treat it as the fun moments such as when someone says 'hold out your hand and close your eyes' and you wait to see what they are going to put in your hand!

Guys seem to like to be mean like that. Try not to let it bug you too much, it makes it that much more fun for him to tease you. If you pretend you think it's cool that he is going to do something with his big "secret", but that it's not going to drive you up the wall he'll probably stop teasing you so much. Lol.

Ian bought me some presents several months ago that he was going to give me for valentine's day and was building them up so i had to know what they were and it turned out that they couldn't fit on his bag when he flew out to see me . soooo i had to wait until last month to see them. it drove me crazy too because he kept telling me how awesome they were and how much i'd love them

i mean he was right - but still! haha

Ian bought me some presents several months ago that he was going to give me for valentine's day and was building them up so i had to know what they were and it turned out that they couldn't fit on his bag when he flew out to see me . soooo i had to wait until last month to see them. it drove me crazy too because he kept telling me how awesome they were and how much i'd love them

i mean he was right - but still! haha

Yep, Chris definitely loves drawing things like this out. I think he just really can't help it, letting me know that something is going on
I decided to try playing his game now. I've told him that I've decided what I'm going to do for him on our anniversary. He said "Oooo, what?" And I said "Well, you'll just have to wait till June 15th!" And he was like "OK" and that's it... lol... darn guys and their ability to accept and move on from things like this!!!
Anyway, as y'all said, I'm not trying to read too much into it any more. But I'm certainly looking forward to finding out what this secret is!!!

For Christmas he was absolutely broke last year, but he had a bunch of gift vouchers, and he'd been given his Christmas money in advance so he could buy presents for his family (see how that works? Lol... random)
So he was going through with me who he was getting presents for, and dividing up the money for each person in front of me. And at the end, he hadn't put any money aside for me, and I knew he wouldn't give me one of his second-hand vouchers! Lol. So I was like "Oh... are you going to be able to get me a Christmas present?" And he was like "It'll have to wait, sweetie, I'm sorry. I just can't afford it yet."
I understood, but I was a little bummed out that it seemed like everyone was getting presents except for me.
Come Christmas morning, he showed up with a beautiful charm bracelet he'd bought me from the same jeweller where we got our purity rings. I was stoked!! I'm still not sure how he'd managed to afford it....
That was a great surprise!!!

I sympathise! Guys seem to LOVE teasing us about suprises and it's so frustrating. My blokey has something planned for the weekend and I'm getting so immature about it "but baby I WANNA KNOW!"
