I've been searching for this for two days. This is a photograph of a painting by Anatoly Krasnyanski. This painting hangs on a ship's bulkhead! I loved this painting so much I wish I had the money to buy it. I hope you enjoy it. It evokes the mystery of your Church, for me. If anyone knows which cathedral this is, I would be most happy if you would share the name. I seem to recall that the plate on the frame, mentioned Moscow.

I'm also sorry that I don't know how to make it smaller!

Hi!
Yes, it could very well be that church. My father, fluent in Russian, and very well read on Russian culture, tells me he has seen this church in Moscow and that it is on a hill like shown in the painting. Notice the faithful going up the hill.

Whenever I look at this photo, I think of this verse:Matt 16:18 "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it."

This church, in Moscow, was surrounded by the heart of atheism. It truly has withstood the gates of Hades.
