suggestion to all the Lego's people - save them!!!

My son always asked for Lego's for his birthday, Christmas - whatever. He had thousands and thousands of them (wasn't unusual to get >5 sets for each of the above events). Best guess at least $1000 invested by all the gift givers combined. Then he just threw them away (I guess it was easier than cleaning up and re-organizing for the umpteenth time).

Still makes me sad - especially now that his son is asking for them.
I had duplo, kind of like leggo but on a much larger scale.

I used to have so much fun building things. We gave ours to family I think they have been handed on several times

TMI- too much information

I do like Blackadder. And As Time Goes By, Keeping Up Appearances, Little Britain, and MI-5 I think it's called.

I looove Blackadder and As Time Goes By!

I'm adding... Faulty Towers.

The brits do know how to do comedy

They sure do. I'm here in the States with my hubby until next March and then will be immigrating... long story. He's American and just doesn't get English humour! I'm not sure if that's the norm or not...

1. Place of birth? Ohio.

2. Favorite day of the week? Any day I have off from work, and have no obligations.

3. Favorite sport to watch? Mixed martial arts I suppose.

4. Favorite movie (one you can always watch)? Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

5. Favorite food? Spaghetti with marinara sauce, hot Italian sausage, lots of onions and garlic, plenty of shredded Italian cheese mix on top. But that's just tonight. Tomorrow's dinner will be my favorite tomorrow, if it's anywhere near that good.

6. Favorite beverage? I had a lovely Australian Shiraz with dinner tonight. That's today's favorite. Ask me on a different day, I'd probably give a different answer.

7. Hobbies? Reading, surfing the web, computer gaming, bicycling, martial arts, shooting.

8. Night person or day person? Day... but not morning.

9. Paint or wallpaper? Paint... and tapestries.

10. Favorite t.v. show? Just one? Ok, Babylon 5.

11. Can you drive a stick shift? Yes, but since I've racked up perhaps half a million miles on automatics and only hundreds on sticks, the difference in comfort level and skill level is immense.

12. Last person you talked with on the phone? A close friend, but even with friends I don't socialize by phone, only arrange face-to-face meetings. I don't like phones much.

13. What was your favorite toy as a child? A plush stuffed snake, cinnamon colored, maybe 3-4 feet long.

14. When was the last time you cried? Last week.

15. What's on the floor of your closet? Boxes and boxes of stuff.

Oh, snap! You've gotta be kidding me! Nobody plays SFB! Oh, snap!

Yo, Macrina plays, too. I introduced her to the game the first time she came up to visit me in Boston.

Oh, snap! I can't believe you play SFB!

Plotting movement 15, with a HET on impulse 24.

Yes, against all that is good and reasonable, I play SFB and it's equally monstrous companion, Federation & Empire. F&E will eat your life.

ok - questions

eirene:
Are you still in Ann Arbor? I live just inside Ohio straight down US23. Like my Michigan football too (taking a hard line this year though - if they don't beat OSU this year Lloyd Carr needs to go!!!)
I'm in Illinois for now, but A2 will always be my home :) I'm so glad you can live in any area of Ohio and stay a Michigan fan :D I almost dated an OSU fan. That would have probably been the end of peace as we know it! What was I thinking??
