I think there should be a forum for mormons as well. I would love to hang out there. I have like a million mormon-related questions that I'd like to ask actual mormons.

Isn't there already an "Unorthodox Theology" forum and an "Other Religions" forum?

There are Mormons who post in Unorthodox Theology. Post your questions there and I am sure you will get some responses.

They really shouldn't be considered just another denomination or even Christian with unorthodox theology.

They are not Christian. They should not have anything on this forum which would give any impression that they are.
