This would be a forum where people could propose and discuss new changes and then after some discussion there would be a vote to determine whether or not the changes would be made

An example of proposals of changes I am taking about is something like increasing the variety/specificity of faith or political icons, suggesting and voting on new features, etc

So in a way, like a Community Matters section?

Sort of, yes

I'm sure it could work, but certainly would require a certain way to operate.

Yes, and it wouldn't have to actually have an immediate effect on CF, it could just be a sort of advisory-vote process where the votes are just indicators to CF staff of what the CF community wants.

The polling mechanism would be useful in this case, too

Hmm, I like the idea. Another way would be morphing the Chat with Staff to also serve with that purpose for now, just thinking out of the box. :)

Possibly, but it needs to be more than that. Something where each thread is specifically about a new feature or change and then each feature/change goes up for vote one at a time with a notice to the rest of CF maybe (like how "new Formal Debate" is sometimes stickied all over the place). And then after the vote the staff responds with a yes or a no to the feature/change.

Of course. What type of changes would you expect to go through there?

Well one that crosses my mind is expanding / adding more specific or customizable political icons, but that's just one of my ideas. This would be for the whole CF community to propose and vote on their ideas.

this part would be very helpful, so that good ideas don't die on the vine for lack of action or attention.
perhaps a main forum for the ideas and discussion, and then a thread move to a sub forum for the votes.

Will we be notified here when the staff begin considering this idea and also when they decide whether or not to implement it?

That I can't answer. I can certainly bring it up, but I can't guarantee a time frame when it will be reviewed or the decision made.

Yes but do you know if they will even consider such a proposal? How open to change are they?

Let's not get too off topic please, but I'd say they're open to hearing everything out.

Dear FreedByte. I would like some discussions about the importance of Love and Compassion, it would make a great change and is important enough to discuss from many angles. Jesus did tell us in Matthew 22: 35-40:
" On these two Commandments to Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds, also: Love our neighbour as we love ourselves,
on these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Love is very important to our Heavenly Father, and Love discussed will help us greatly to understand and appreciate the importance and the benefits which LOVE/AGAPE
will be to us. Love is the strongest weapon which we Christians have, and Love will help greatly to change this imperfect world.
I say this with love, FreedByte. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Hi Emmy, This thread was actually about a new forum for changes to CF itself :)
