  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a few questions? first...How does one get to the point were he/she just totally surrenders it all over to CHRIST? you say...ok GOD, here I am today. use me. can you truly say this in your heart and trust GOD, in whatever he want's to do?
second...how can one grow in the assurance of his salvation that he or she knows without a doubt. that they are going to heaven?

And thirdly...How can one keep standing firm in the faith. when one does what is right, and at the same time, the very thing you try to avoid by doing what's right, sometimes still happens to you. I've struggle with all these, and I know some of you have to. but would like to hear some feed back in how God dealt with or is dealing with you right know concerning these questions.
you can answer all the questions or just the ones you like. thanks for any encouragement you can give.

Surrender each day as much as you can. Love the Lord with all of your heart. Trust Him and you will see that He is faithful. He won't take away anything that wouldn't keep you from Him. At least I think He won't. It is always for His glory whatever He does. We shirk at pruning, but it brings out good fruit. It is only for a season. Then as needed.

I think over time, one becomes more sure of Heaven. We have to stay close to the Lord and keep confessing any sins in our lives. I don't know if you are born again? Just keep reading the new testiment and find the scriptures that help you. Maybe someone else has a better answer?

God Bless and don't fear.

Hello to you and God Bless You.. I just wanted to say that alot of times, God will put us in a place where we have to call on Him. Not because He is punishing us but because He has a work for us and desires that relationship. I have been down to the lowest of lows and the only other option I had was to cry out"OH God" I am ready to give it to you.. It is better if we do not have to wait until that time when you have no other choice but call on Him. God sent His precious Son to die as a living sacrifice for us. Wow, He did that for you. The bible is one of the most talked about books in the world and you know what I find amazing is that the words of the bible have been perserved all these years.
His Word. That is awesome. And you know everyday there is prophesy's being fullfilled all over. No one can really argue about the word of God. It constantly shows its truth. When you get to a place where you cry out and say Jesus, I want all of you, I just want you...Changes will take place. Your heart will turn in a different direction and doubt will cease. I pray for you that you will be touched in a mighty way and that the hand of God would be there with you and guide you into all truth. As for doubt, let it go. The bible says that perfect love cast out all fear. It is so true. I think we have all been in a place where we had fear, fear of the unknown and fear about who God is.. I speak for myself, because I have. I don't want to be on His naughty list.. I have had a many spiritual spankings by the Lord. The Holy Spirit would convict me of something and it felt like there was a hole in my stomach. I know this, His love is unconditional and no matter what He will be there for you now and through all eternity. God Bless You...

Yes,I am a christian. some ppl believe you can lose your salvation, and sometimes when I think about it, it makes me ponder. their are verses in the bible that could be argue both ways as to if a person could lose their salvation or not. and I've heard both sides of the story, and they both have strong arguments. so if one could truley lose his salvation. then it would be perfectly normal to be concerned.
