A Duck Is A Duck...

Here are a few thoughts about our feathered friends...
I had a sociology professor who said once that people were often pretty consistent. If someone got an A on the first exam and an A on the mid-term, they were usually excused from the final the last week. It's kinda like the saying: "If it looks like a duck; walks like a duck; quacks like a duck--it's probably a DUCK!!"

Ducks are pretty mild-mannered critters too. Even an angry duck is not really a very scary duck.

So, if we are going to be consistent-- we should at least be like a duck!! Quack...

I'm kind of a bird-watcher so if there are any other bird fans out there, feel free to add to this story with other bird comparisons...related to the Bible or just people or life in general...
Speaking of birds, I got a nice Christmas blessing this morning as I went outside to leave for Church for Christmas services. The trees above were filled with the medium-sized (robin-sized) grey and white and red waxwing birds... If someone knows a good Bible verse (Old or New Testament) for birds/angels etc..etc...please share it--

Hi!! In Jeremiah 8:7 , it says,"Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord. That's one about birds, for you. I'm sure their are many others. God bless you!!

A duck appeared at my feet swam up and sat down next to me while I was sitting on the marina steps. last year. I was having an operation and was worried and then it appeared very friendly just sat next to me. It stayed for a few weeks then went away. I found out it escaped from down the road but in those 2 weeks i saw it as a good sign from God and the duck kept me company. True story Love Vince.
