  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A dream of Judgement day a bit twisted though

i had a dream about judgment day acouple nights ago which brought me to tears and which still does.

my parents my little brother and i (i dont know were my older brother is and i dont even thinki about him, also my little brother is only ten) are running along this peble stone path (were doing this as every one in the world is doing it to as we all know that we have to meat Jesus at a sertain spot for his second comming) which suddeny viears and starts running along side a cliff endge, my dad nealy looses his balance and fall in but he regathers him self. (this all repeats it elf again but it was me this time who mearly falls in) we are now walking alng side the cliff on the path my little brother is running apahead. all i can think about is that he might fall in.

we are now arriving at this head land were we have been told to meat for the second comming. some strange coulours (cant explain colours) start to form in the sky which gets bigger and bigger Jesus now comes out of them and the next thing we know is that we are now waling through this vally i am now walking and talking with God i am asking him why my little brother cant come to heven, i than ask him is it because he is difernt, God turns around to me and says that i shouldnt say any more as he was going to use that in my little brothers judgment.

we are now arriving at the end of the vally which seams to have a wall bloking that way out. (instead of the lamb and the goats getting split up we are all sitting on seats except me iu am sitting oin this small ledge next to my family wait our judgment) i han decid to go the the tolet but when i get back my brother is crying and dad is hugging him trying to confort him. i than realise what a big idiot i am and go pull up a seat next to my brother and started to hug him and kiss him as i new i would never see him again after this. he has now been called up for his judgment and is found guilty, he is then tossed on a cart with ever one els who had been found guilty and taken away. have already realised by this time that my parents and i are going 2 heaven. i wake at this time sobbing about the dream.

he lives with me and he is only 10 which counfuses me as in the bible it says some were that children go 2 heven

There is a lot of debate on that subject. I don't know of a verse that specifically says that. I do believe, though, when Paul said that there was a time in his life when he was without the law and then when the law came that he died that he was talking about when he was too young to understand right from wrong. Others agree with this and some do not.

So, at what age is a child conscious of right from wrong? I think it varies with each child. I know my children all accepted Christ at age 7 or under because we had regular family devotions and we talked about their need to receive Jesus as their Savior. They all individually at different times asked us to pray with them to receive Christ. Whether or not they understood what they were doing at that time is questionable for some but they have later in life, for the most part, reconfirmed their commitments they made then to follow Christ.

I accepted Christ when I was 7 years old and I knew very much that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. Most 10 year olds know right from wrong and know they are sinners. So, tell him about your dream and tell him the gospel. I sense God gave you that dream because there is an urgency.

i was just thinking about the dream when some thing struck me. when it started me and my dad nearly fell off the clif, (which could represnt a turning away from God or we only just made it into heaven i think the first) but than my little brother was taking all the risks in the world, (God tells us not to test him and i think this could represent it and is why he hen to hell) and yes i am still gona tell my brother about the dream.

Can't really add to the good advice you've gotten. & definetly don't let age be a factor for assuming your bro is headed straight to heaven.
I do believe children are taken to heaven if something tragic occurs, but maybe your brother's heart has been especially prepared for this moment & the Spirit is letting you see this. & if your dad is veering or could wobble off the path he is not in a position to help your little brother. Perhaps it will be your little brother that will help your dad when all is said & done.

For Your ways are higher & greater then our's oh Lord.

Sometimes dreams like this are for sharing, and sometimes they're for praying. I've personally made the mistake of telling people dreams that I really should've just prayed about (e.g. a dream where one of my friends dies). I'm not saying you should, or shouldn't, share the dream with your brother, but simply that you should pray and ask God for guidance about what to do with it.
