That's not accurate. However, that's completely off topic. It also has no bearing on the argument at hand. You can choose to bow out or you can choose to consider the evidence before you. The decision is yours.

Sorry, that’s not convincing in the slightest and does not change your clear distortion of the text. It is illogical to take a story with people that includes real names of real people (like Abraham) and twist it into being a fictional story. A person can say the same thing about Jesus dying on the cross. But the Bible warns against those who turn the Word of God into fables.

2 Timothy 4:4
“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Note: Context is preaching the Word - 2 Timothy 4:2. So the truth that is turned into fables by some is the Word of God (Scripture).

Maybe in Hollywood you may find fictional stories with names for real people, but that would technically be a lie if the story was having Abraham speaking to another person and yet it was simply not a real event. Again, your motivation is you don’t like the idea of hell and so you are forced into a corner to conclude it is a fable or fictional story.

A fictional story is technically not true. God is not capable of telling half truths or lies or false stories. God always tells the truth.
God would not mislead us to think He is telling us a real story when in reality is just a fictional false story that is not real. God does not lie. God always tells the truth.

In fact, I believe that all the parables Jesus told were REAL stories.

Our culture is immersed in fantasy and fiction all the time.
So some in our culture don’t have a problem with making fiction out of facts.

No. You believe in two gods (or two beings) and not the blessed Godhead (Trinity). I was hoping to not quote your words. But because of your denial of what you said here, I am forced to show others here the truth about what you really stated (So that they are not deceived by what you really believe).

You said in the email you sent me, I quote:

“They also believed that Jesus and the Father were two separate beings. The creed says that Jesus is God of God. The Greek literally translates God out of God. What they are saying is that the Son came out of God the Father.” ~ Quote by Butch5.

You said, I quote:

“we have one Yahweh on earth and one Yahweh in Heaven. Thus we have two beings.“ ~ Quote by Butch5.

You said, I quote:

“What about the Holy Spirit? Is the Spirit a third person? I would submit that the answer is no. The spirit is the Father. Do we have Scripture to support this? Yes.” ~ Quote by Butch5.

So no. You believe in two gods or two beings as you stated in your email to me.
You don’t believe in the Godhead or the Trinity as taught by church history, and the Bible.

Again, the Bible teaches that the Lord our God is ONE God in substance, and yet He also exists as three distinct persons.
This is the Godhead or Trinity. The word “Godhead” appears three times in the King James Bible, and means Trinity.
1 John 5:7 in the KJB tells us about the Trinity point blank.

1 John 5:7 KJB
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

It says, “and these three are one.” It does not say, “and these two are one.”

If you're still interested in this subject, I would recommend looking up an individual on Facebook named John H Roller. He has made an unpublished book called The Doctrine of Immortality in the Early Church. In this book, he goes over extensively who in the other church believed the traditional view of Hell, and who believed the conditionalist view of Hell. It is an unbiased work, and even though he is an Adventist (not Seventh Day) he does not change certain quotes, or leave out certain parts from the ECF to make it seem like they were conditionalists even though they were traditionalists. He still has yet to publish his work on the basis of he wants to make absolutely sure that he gets all available information, and doesn't want to leave anything out.

or, you could find this book here at his link that he provides on his web page John Roller's FREE Stuff ... when you click on books, look for the author John Roller. When you click on that link it will send you to a folder with a bunch of .docs and you can find the 2021 version of the book there.

At first, I could not find it, but I looked under the folder called, “College Courses” and it was under that folder.

However, it only appears to be available only as audio files.
The docs that are in that folder for this topic is a three page summary introduction or something and not the full sized write-up.

If you have the actual full sized PDF of his write-up on this topic on your computer, upload it to Google Drive and make the link shareable with anyone who has the link. I prefer PDFs rather than audio files.

I would love to see it.

Thanks.

May God bless you.

Bible Highlighter, I am so sorry, I should have given better instructions. The place to find it is under Writings listed by author . Then under the author, look for John Roller. Click on that it will send you to a bunch of .doc documents, and you will find the book in that location

Unfortunately linking to that particular document in that way leads you to a sign in page. The best way one can reach that particular document is going through the original link that I shared.
I see what you mean. Very strange.
