Here's a couple of fanfictions I've written. They're entries from the diaries of characters on Buffy.
From the Diary of Amy Madison, as of an evening towards the beginning of The Witch:
This morning I woke up in my mother's body. At first, I thought it would be cool. Like maybe that movie Freaky Friday was real. I found out the reality isn't so good. I still went to the video store and rented that movie for the irony factor though.
So when I went downstairs, I saw Mom eating breakfast in my body. She was reading a cheerleading magazine. I've always been embarassed that she has a subscription, and I tell my friends that those magazines are mine. I said to her, "Mom, that is you, right?"
She was awfully relaxed. "Why yes. Yes it is, Amy."
"What's happened?" I blurted.
"I don't know," she replied. But she had that guilty look, the same one I have when I'm telling a lie. "Since we have no idea of how to reverse this, I guess we'll just have to live each other's lives."
"But you have no life." A little disrespectful, but I'm not sorry I said it. It's true.
"I don't have to take this," Mom replied. "Not when I'm late for school."
She left without saying anything else.
I didn't know what else to do, so I just spent the day goofing off. I watched Freaky Friday from the video store, and I went out and bought some stuff, and hung out in the park.
Throughout, I tried to figure out what had caused this change. My gut feeling is that Mom did this on purpose. But why would she do such a thing? It's hard coming up with anything, but when I've gone through all possibilities, it could even be that it has to do with the cheerleading tryouts that are coming up. Sounds crazy, I know, but maybe that is it.
This concludes my first day trapped in my mother's body. Maybe things will be back to normal tomorrow. I'm not counting on it, though.
