• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I have a dilemma. Without going into everything, because it's a very long story, if I pray for what I think will be best for me, it may not be best for others who would be affected. Of course, it might be best for them. I just don't know! So, I guess I'm asking for prayers for God's will to be done here where it would be good for all. Thanks!

HisLamb,

Nothing is confusing For God.. So your prayers will be heard. As for the outcome God knows best so we have to accept it even though we may not understand it.

Years ago I felt the calling to Go work for My Local Church.. I couldn't understand why God Called me to do it. I was a Truck Driver not Church Staff material. After resisting for two weeks.. I finally gave in. I spent 12 years on staff, came away a stronger Christian, better understanding of people. So God knew why he wanted me there. It was HIS will.

Even though this may not be like your concerns.. but It goes to show.. We are in God hands and should yield to his wishes.

Knowing your feeling.. You will be in my prayers.

Am thrilled to see one asking for this type of prayer. That indicates a measure of wisdom and spiritual maturity. I have just prayed that way for you.

I understand your feelings and I have personally faced some confusing situations of late. But I have learned to lay it all at His feet and yield my will to His wisdom.

Thank you all so much. I feel calmer now, and I'm sure your prayers have much to do with this fact. I always try to lay everything in Jesus' hands...but sometimes I get the urge to "take it back". I must learn to always, always, always leave it in His capable care.

Bless you all!
