• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is an interesting observation that this Canadian site is the only one that has Christian comments (I'm not Canadian). After-all, this is a Christian Forum web site. Most other countries are just bragging about their place of residence, or other interests and activities. Does that tell us something?

I realize that people like a place to talk about their daily social life, but I think a Christian should want to talk about their life in Christ with others of like mind.

I agree. I think it's because Canada is like being in heaven already. :D

:amen: Especially the North (but that's my incredibly biased opinion) ;):D

I've been out to the East Coast, and I've been up Hwy 129 more than a few times, and every little back road here and there, and I'm always amazed by the beautiful scenery that I've discovered. We're truly blessed.

I am Canadian. I want to talk about Christian topics as well as say how proud I am to live in Canada and am a Canadian. Canada may not be a Christian nation anymore but in a lot of ways we still carry the Spirit of God in our lives and how we treat others nation wide.

Canadians are so polite and kind to people. Small town mentality no matter if you live in a small town or one of our few big enough cities to be a metropolitan.

I'll brag about where I live because I'm so proud of who we are and what we stand for. I'm so thankful to live here accept when the weather is brutally cold. We would rather leave our doors unlocked than to surcome to living a life of fear of things we can't control.
