What strikes me as cute is that Christians think non-Christians are "friends of the world." I know a lot of atheists whom think the world sucks as it is.

I think what that's trying to say is that Christians shouldn't get attached to or love wordly things like money, drugs, and more less common ones. God is above the world and so should His children.

Well what happened. Were you a happy, willing christian or forced to be by your parents or something?

I began as kind of being forced as a kid. Left completely, then came back. I found a new book that helped me return: the Bible.
When I stopped using God's word as a weapon to combat other religions, or denominations, it started to make more sense. Reading things in their whole context instead of using a verse or two to prove why you should do this and not that practically revealed a new book. One that made sense and should not be used as a set of stereo instructions. Oh yes, I think it is our guide, above all others, but it is much more.

So in a nut shell, that's what happened to me. How about you TJ?
