A Challenge

Martin Luther thought that every Christian should memorize the book of Romans. Has anyone done that?

I am ready to move on from single verse memory to whole chapters. Has anyone done this and what helps could you offer?

I have never memorized a whole book verbatim. But whole chapters I have. Though the scripture is part of me, my mind, heart, spirit I can no long reciet any chapter wholly.

What helps me to soak in the scripture and memorize it is writing it down over and over, word by word and saying it out loud and in my head untill I can say the whole thing w/out looking at it. Than after that try to say it through out the day and see if you can still do it in the morning when you wake up.

I got to a point where Romans was almost second nature ......... but I never completely memorised it ........ try listening to a tape . over and over.




My wife memorised the Gospel of John years ago.
