It seems like the car would be disassembled on a molecular level to energy, and then into light, since only light travels at the speed of light. Mass does not travel at the speed of light, does it? 
At least my old clunker won't, I get nervous when the thing is over sixty and at light speed the last thing I'm going to be worried about is the headlights. I'm going to worry about the brakes.
