A Call for Conciliators

For those of you who actually do read the CF rules for fun , you will have noticed that the number of conciliators has been increased from 5 to 10. This means I have 5 jobs to fill.

Here is the job description:

10. Ombudsman and Conciliators

10.1 Creation of the Ombudsman and the Conciliators
There is created the position of Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is not a member of Staff and does not have authority to take actions designated in CF Rule 7.2. The Ombudsman serves at the pleasure of the CEO. The Ombudsman has authority to designate ten members, who are not members of CF Staff, to serve as assistants, who must be approved by the CEO. These assistants and the Ombudsman constitute the Conciliators. The members of the Conciliators serve at the pleasure of the Ombudsman.

10.2 Duties and Authority of the Conciliators
The Conciliators will provide assistance to any member at any stage of the appeals process. Such assistance may include, but is not limited to, explaining CF Rules, explaining CF procedures, drafting appeals, serving as an intermediary between Staff and members, serving as an intermediary between members, arranging settlement of disputes, and submitting reports to the CEO.

10.3 Duties and Authority of the Ombudsman
In addition to the duties and authority of all members of the Conciliators, the Ombudsman shall consult with the CEO regarding any appeals, which, in the Ombudsman's opinion, require the attention or intervention of the CEO.
We are looking for people who demonstrate Christian love in their interactions with others, are articulate, persuasive, persistent, diplomatic, fair-minded, and willing to see situations from more than one perspective.

All candidates must be approved by Erwin, and per Erwin's statement earlier this year, all candidates must be Christians who qualify to post in the Christians-Only forums.

I am calling for both recommendations and applications. If you think someone (or more than 1 person) would be really good at this, please recommend them and encourage them to apply. If you are interested, please apply.

I am looking for a cross-section of people from different backgrounds, so if you know someone who would be great who only posts in a few specific forums, please link them to to this post.
