A bit of a question?

Wasn't really sure where to go with this question other than here or the "Morality" forum, and I figured I would get a much more detailed and thought-out answer here.

I work in the mechanical engineering field, and while going through school I was good friends with a man who had gotten in a very bad car accident. He was mostly paralyzed, and he had a device installed in his chest that allowed him to open and shut his hand with a toggle switch on his wheelchair.

Through conversations with him, and my background in engineering I have a slight interest in the biotech field. I was wondering what, if anything, the Bible has to say about the use of enhancements like this?

I have heard many rumors and discussions that the 'Mark of the Beast' talked about in Revelations could possibly be a microchip, instead of the stereotypical 666 on the forehead/hand. Anyone think that this might be the case?

I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about the idea of tehcnological enhancements as it deals with the Lord's teachings.

Christ healed those that were sick and disabled, so it is clear that anything that improves the quality of someones life would be aproved by God . Does not mans wisdom come from God. if you wish to spend some time and study, most all of the tecnological developments in history were by people who had turned to God--christians, study it its very interesting, many times however men of sin have gotten ahold of this tecnoligy and used it for evil, all wisdom is a gift from God it is however up to man if its used for Good or evil.in the case you speak of it has improved someone life and this is Good. concerning the mark of the beast, i persoally feel that the mark-seal of the beast would be the very oppisite of the mark-seal of God which is the Holy Spirit--Love for all,that seals us as God sons and daughters, the oppisite would be those with no Love and refuse to turn to Christ--God and have the spirit of the beast within them, this i feel is the mark of the beast which we see daily. why 666 , pre flood man was sin encomplete=6, during moses the Law man was sin encomplete=6, after Christ some have turned to god and are complete, many however have not and will not==6 encomplete this i believe is the 666 spoken of. the mark, could it be the condition of our heart at the end time we will have the seal of god and be complete, or we will have the seal of the devil and be encomplete. just some thought.
