Anyone a teeny bit disappointed in the first 2 episodes of the new season?

It still is lost - the best thing on TV but there was no singular one moment of WOW!
I remember seeing Locke in the coffin in the last series and that was mind blowing but this was more logical still a few 'what was going on moments' but not many and not out there.
I missed the mind blowing, jaw dropping revelations.

Well seeing Locke in the coffin was a season-ending cliffhanger -- it was intended to be a blow-your-pants-off moment. I don't think we can expect those in every episode.

My big WOW moment of the episode was seeing Dr. Marvin Candle making the orientation video, and then seeing DANIEL -- 20 years earlier, in the 80's, but seemingly the same age as he is in 2004 -- wearing a Dharma suit and working on the Orchid hatch.

They can't give us jaw dropping revelations in every episode, or we'd feel disappointment every time this week's jaw dropper didn't top last week's. I'm happy with a WOW moment or two in each episode, and a few jaw droppers throughout the season.

That was my jaw-dropping moment as well. I had to grab onto my forehead.

Me too...about the Candle guy.

But Red and Snooch...what about your pants?

They didn't make it all the way across the room, but I'd say as far as the coffee table anyway! :D

It was a bit half/half for me.

I was REALLY looking forward to this season premiere showing the arrival of the ship (The Black Rock?) to the island and to see who was on it and why they were on it. Either that, or to see Danielle Rousseau again and whatever it was that led her to the island.

Seeing Faraday was a nice surprise though.

Well after the last season opening which was mind-blowing what was happening - oceanic six - who made it etc? What was going on _ I didn't get it was a flash forward for ages.

This seems more to answer questions not raise them which was what the producers said.
I did like the scientist traveling back to the cave (sort of knew it was coming when they wouldn't show you his face - true Lost style )but he still is one of the 'bad ones' though the best of them.

Just glad we got rid of the others for a while, I hope I am not supposed to like them, as I don't (I still can't stand Juliet ). glad all the originals are reunited for a while - Locke, Sawyer.
