A BIG Surprise!!!

I have a sily goose in the barn who has been sitting on eggs since July. Many times she would STEP on an egg and I would have to pick that up. Today, I was convinced all was lost and I went to the barn and lo and behold a new baby. Of course it's learned to complain at me like the it's parents!!!

Awash, it is sooo cute when it goes up under it's mom's wing and sticks it's head out to peep at me!!

Country Woman it was yesterday!!! =0) I was surprised because most of the eggs were rotten. I assumed the two remaining were duds as well and I was ready to take her off the nest!!!

Awwww, baby geese are adorable. There were some at the lake a few months ago, they are wonderful.

I will take some pics. I have had ANOTHER surprise...this time, it was a poor gosling struggling to get out of the egg. For some reason it's mom did NOT keep it warm and it was stone cold. =0( So, I wipped it off, gave it mouth to beak, got it next to two water bottles and it is inside sleepng but still with us!

Just an update, I will be posting pics, God willing, my husband had some surgery and I have been giving him the care after the fact. So, I am pretty busy. Both babies are fine. The one in the barn Reggie is too funny!
The one inside, Lucky is doing very well.
