I know how nice it is to get an order.especially a BIG order! I have always lifted this business to the Lord, and I almost quit many times for I wasn't getting many hits on my site, and was not sure why.I just about hit the button to cancel my site, when the Lord placed it on my heart to wait.Next day I received an order, then throughout the next couple months...many orders started to come. That was through the Christmas season, and was concerned about after Christmas when sales are down for many retail businesses, but I am still getting orders,in fact yesterday I was asked to make more than I could do for a restaurant.I just have to keep my focus right, and try not getting discouraged when things do not look like they are going like they should, but also to keep looking to find ways to grow.It is hard sometimes, but hard work is a good thing!

I love to sew, so doing the embroidery was just the icing on the cake! I, too, got discouraged a few times, but our Lord is teaching me patience, and I am getting more and more calls! So far, its been enough to support my habit.

Do you have a website? Or do your orders come from local orders? Just wonder how you and others advertise.I wanted to learn how to sew those mohair bears, they are so cute but I think that is done by hand not machine..must take forever to sew...I have patience ,but maybe not that much!

I have a website, but all of my business, so far, has come from word of mouth. The website is just up to give people an idea of what I do. I like the word of mouth idea, because I do it from my home, and I really don't want any strange people here.

That's awesome! How did it turn out? I need to take some lessons...a lot of lessons...but I do like to tinker with my machine once in a while and I know it could make me money if I applied myself. I would like to start out doing alterations. I know that you kinda have to be specific in the sewing industry. You can't spread yourself too wide, but not too thin either. I need to get off my behind and take some classes!

There are many forms of advertising you can do on the Internet for your Ecommerce sites. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

If you have any technical knowledge you can virtually start up for nothing which is nice, and put most of your startup dollars towards advertising with sites like Google.

Link swapping with similar, yet non-competitive, sites go along way as well. It is nice to get ranked high in the Search engines and not having to pay for it!
