Hello, everyone. My name is Ashley Carly, and this is the first time I've participated in an online forum of any kind. Since my relationship with God is such an integral part of my life, I thought it would be best to start with a Christian forum.
I've been a Christian for about 17 years now, though my journey has been anything but smooth. My family and I have attended churches of various denominations -- some more unique than others -- but I have come out of that journey more secure in my walk with God than ever before. (Now, however, I consider myself non-denominational.) Some of the things I've faced and learned have caused me to question my faith or doubt what I was sure I heard God say, but ultimately they all forced me to study the Bible in more depth than I ever had. I am forever grateful for that. I wish everyone would take the time to read the Bible, cover to cover.
I'll just put it out there now that I've also been single all my life, though I have wanted a partner for a long time. While God hasn't answered that prayer yet, He has offered me incomprehensible comfort on my loneliest days. Now I've taken it as my mission to comfort other single women struggling with their single status. My blog matelessouls.com is dedicated to that purpose. So, if any of you are single Christian women, please visit the site.
I look forward to conversing with you all on this forum. God bless you.
