  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Greetings, all! Who wants to see some magic?

I'll backpedal a little, since this may be a strange introduction to a thread with this title. What does magic have to do with spirituality?

Well, would you like to hear it from me? Or from a magician priest?

Hopefully you chose the magician priest, because that's who you're going to hear it from right now!^_^

There's a few magic tricks interlaced in that interview; for his fun playlist, check these out!

I just want to open this up to light discussion about the interview & the magic. Plenty of points from his interview could be threads unto themselves, but what I really want to focus on here is the simplicity, adaptability, and genuine beauty of the way he believes in God. There is such a peace around the way he sees his faith & his own role therein...may we all be blessed with such peace in our own lives. He encourages prayers for peace in his sermons, and I think his own life is one of the fruits of this habit.

Oh...and did I mention that I've actually met Fr. Jerome in real life? St. Mary Nativity is a beautiful parish, and Fr. Jerome is just as cool & intelligent IRL (in real life) as he appears in the videos.

Great point.
I’ve been wondering of late, why so many people complicate God with so much added, and unnecessary stuff?

The more I have discovered God the more I see his divine design as being much less complex, and easier to understand his plan for me and for his kingdom.

And it makes sense, God should be easy.

Matthew 18:3
Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Little children don’t understand complex stuff.

I cannot agree with you more!
