  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

*hangs head* I didn't go last night. But, I was totally prepared to go until I picked up the boys from their schools and Steele was complaining of not feeling well. Mother's intuition said to take them home - so I did. Steele spiked a fever in the middle of the night, so I took him to the dr this morning and he tested positive for strep. So, it's a good thing I didn't take him and infect all the other kids. :sorry:

BUT - I am soooooooo going next week.

D - did you try out the new church?
Well, I have to hang my head right along with flnativegrl.

I worked late last night and then when I got home my parents wanted me to come down to help them with something at their house so I went and helped them instead of going to the new church...

Unless your names are Tom Dooley, you haven't got reason to hang your head. I suppose you had valid reasons to miss the class fng and D, you had a valid reason to avoid checking out the new church . .

I hope your little one is feeling better fng.

Thanks, JD. I can use all the grace I can get. He's doing OK tonight - he was starting to warm up again so I gave him more drink and need to go check his temp again.

I hope he knocks the fever out tonight. :(

I remember the one time my son ran a high fever. He almost NEVER got sick. He was about 10, and I went to a concert with some frineds, and left the kids with their tenage daughters at my hosue watching tv. When we got home, about 11, they said Jamey had gone to bed, by himself about 8. (very rare indeed!!) I could hear him coughing from the living room (sounded like a seal barking) I went in to his room, and felt his head, and he was burning up with fever!! (about 103 or 104) I took him immediatly to the ER, and he had bronchitis, they put him on antibiotics, and he was better in a few days!

It's so scary when stuff like that happens!

Steele has dust allergies, so he gets a very croupy sounding cough when he gets congested. I have a nebulizer for him and the dr gave me a new Rx for the meds yesterday since I was out. We call it his "breathing machine" and he sounds a little like Darth Vadar when he breathes in thru the mask for a treatment. LOL
