Israeli intelligence claimed that the WMDs were wished away to the Bekka Valley in Syria. Early on in Gulf War II US troops amassed on the border of Syria. Russian subs entered the Persian Gulf making their presence known in a saber rattling gesture. Syria and Russia have long been allies.

America backed down, but quietly.

Arguably, the world (especially most Americans) did not have the stomach for such a conflict between the US and the former USSR.

By the house of Globalism mostly could not have its two biggest stooges fighting with that kind of intensity. Through third world nations (like Vietnam and Korea), well that was ok and even boosted their economies. But not this direct measure.

Conspiracy theories abound on the internet about 9/11, but its an undeniable FACT that the Bush family had dealings with the Bin Laden family in the 80's.

Now more than ever we are living in Orwellian times, with cctv cameras watching your every move in large cities, difficulty in spending cash; the necessity of having a credit card(try booking into a hotel with cash and you will be turned away, well my experience in Canada anyway), the proposed I.D cards (in the U.K, dont know if this is been planned for the USA).

Bush should have been impeached a long time ago. I have started to look upon 9/11 as a scapegoat attack. . Consider Nuremberg. 9/11 was the basis on going to war with Afganistan and Iraq, when in reality al-Q are just a bunch of religious zealots that could be rounded up with a sustained intelligence/policing operation, but no, they have to declare war on every country that has'nt sent them a christmas card in the last 20 years.

Check out the new hotel room keys, that look like credit cards. Every time you use it, the time is logged. Police have access to those logs. They can know when you come & go from your hotel room.

The Bush Administration has exploited 9/11 to justify the Iraq War and all manner of infringements on personal freedoms.

By not increasing taxes, they have also dramatically increased the national debt and potentialy destablized the economy. Money for essential domestic programs has also been siphoned off.

With an approval rate of only 30%, this Administration has divided the country over an unpopular war and is responsible for the deaths/wounding of thousands of America's finest.

"If you're not with us, you're against us," philosophy has alienated and strained relations with many allies who object to this Administrations heavy handed approach. Even many Republicans see the "writing on the wall" if there has not been a dramatic improvement by 2008.

"You're doing a hell of a job Brownie....."

The federal Administration's response to Hurricane Katrina leaves something to be desired and hardly inspires confidence in its ability to deal with terrorism in its many forms.
