I actually have not thought about commemorating Sept 11. I'm sure I will spend the day much like I spend any other day. I'll be tuned in to the radio and TV to see and hear what's going on around the world. I'm sure I'll feel some sadness again and I'll do some praying.

I think I'm going to stay away from the TV....just don't think I could bear watching the stuff down in the city or seeing stations replaying the events of last year.

I'll be praying a lot. If they have some sort of thing at the campus chapel like they did for the National Day of Mourning last year I'll do that before work and spend more time praying.

I will be watching the TV things and probably flying an American flag (or at least using one as my avatar. . .I wonder if there is a kao holding an American flag anywhere on the net)
And praying that the terrorists don't strike again.

I'm with Angel and coastie, I am not sure I will watch TV that day. I just don't know whether I want to relive those images or not.

Several churches where I live, including my own, are getting together that week and doing a revival and they are planning a special service for 9/11. So most likely that is where I will be.

I just watched the CNN special again the night before last and cried. Seeing the planes crash into those buildings is still so unreal to me. People waving things out windows to be saved and jumping to their deaths. Then the buildings crumbling to the ground. The plane that crashed into the Pentagon and then the plane on its way to the White House that didn't quit make it cause of the courageous people on board. It all seems so unreal to me still.
I will remember all the people (heros) who died that day.

I'll be praying for justice and mercy. Because without justice, there is no mercy, and without mercy, there is no justice.

Thats Me whats can i say?
this was too me a very powerful thread because it nearly got me misty eyed, thinking about the tragic events that happened, the world did not deserve what happened that day and im praying that it does not happen again. our church is having a comminity wide service my youth minister said it's gonna be a very powerful service to bring all our lost friends...and i know it will be powerful i could sit on the floor and have a service that day and it would be powerful. we should all pray that day and the days following and the days before it that nothing bad happens, pray that god delievers us from evil, cause the lord knows we need it.

Cool! Our church is going to have a memorial service that evening, then there is going to be a special tribute to local fire dept, law enforcment, and rescue workers, all of which have been invited to attend , and many have accepted the invitation. We're praying for God to use this service as an evangelistic tool.. It's going to be great.
