CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I use the mainstays, FL Studio and Ableton Live. I also recommend checking out the apps available on iPad. The benefit of the iPad is it can run music making apps while at the same time being an instrument in those music making apps. Garage Band on the iPad makes it super easy, or you can get any number of digital audio workstation apps, along with a wide variety of synthesizers and instruments apps, including drum machines and weird noise makers.
On the PC, there are freebie music making software packages available, from sequencers, to trackers, to all out DAW's.

I'm searching for a new music-making software to use, and I was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations? I've found a lot of options but I'm not sure which one would be the best for me. I used to use AudioSauna and I liked it, but because it uses Flash I can't use it anymore.Does anyone know of a similar software? I want to use one that has a good variety of instruments and features. I only used online ones in the past, but I wouldn't mind downloading one instead. I would prefer to use a free one but I might buy one if it's good and not too pricey.

I use Bitwig Studio. I use it on Linux but it is also available (I believe) for Windows and Mac.
