The anger that once overwhelmed me is ALL being siphoned off into a productive prayer thread now. I know what we need to do, Bill the milkman knows what we need to do, the cat eyeing me up from across the road knows what we need to do... so, let's DO it? Before I'm 100?

Not today because I called in to work and wanted a day off. But the other day the word of the Lord came to me on the job to share something with a co-worker. Holy Spirit told me to tell her that within three days she was going to vomit which would be followed by God opening up her senses to smell the sweet smelling fragrance of His presence. And finally, to sum it up He told me to share with her the verse out of Peter's epistle about God not being slow but patient not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

I'm confident enough in the prophetic that I know God's voice enough not to need to follow up with her. But since I gave her that, she's asked me more than once to keep praying for her and her marriage etc. So God knows.

Again, nice thread. Will be posting more in here for sure.

Oh and yesterday, a brother whose a co-worker got a negative report from a doctor's visit. So he called me and asked if I would pray for him. So when I got in to work yesterday I went up and dealt with it.

He's been an encouragement to me too. He writes 2 or 3 Christian poems a day at work when things are slow. He's also got an entrepreneurial spirit about him. We've discussed going in together on our own business ideas but we'll see.

I like to think that despite my many imperfections, that God is working through me in some way. I had very positive feedback from my work appraisal yesterday. I work as a nurse in a senior leadership role and my manager commented that, even when busy and under pressure, I have a very gentle manner and a calming affect on the staff and patients.

Today, the Lord used me to reveal His healing power to my doctor and her staff. I went to the office to have an invasive procedure for pain relief. But as I lay on the table and we went over formalities (I was getting a sedative), she asked how I felt. I asked her if she wanted good news or great news. She wanted the great one. And I told her I wasn't in pain.

Everyone paused. They were aware of my condition and the test procedure didn't bring much relief. But once it wore off I began to feel better and it didn't change. I told her I hadn't experienced any pain since the treatment and she beamed in surprise. She told me the odds of it occurring are rare. Incredibly slim. We called it a medical miracle!

The procedure was canceled!

She led me to my room and we spoke further. I was told to begin resuming my normal activities and moderate lifting. We want to see how much I can do without discomfort. If it returns we'll do the same thing again. She said medical miracles can happen twice. Her assistants marveled as did the nurse. Few patients walk out of a pain clinic without care.

This is the third instance of personal testimony with medical professionals. It was wonderful to see their wide eyed smiles and startled looks. She said she couldn't take credit. It wasn't all her.

God is good!

As a farmer I also undertook veterinary training - yep, I know it's not the same thing, but it's drummed into me to be ABSOLUTELY methodical. If you were MY patient then there's no way in a month of Monday's I'd go "oh, wow a miracle. You can go home now."

I'm not saying a miracle didn't happen. I'm just saying I wouldn't let you out of my sight until I was happy.

I've been in the same health network since my early twenties. They have all my records. She has visible proof of the things I've shared. Diseases that disappeared without warning. Physical therapy that was halted at the midpoint because the pain was gone. It wasn't difficult for her to draw the conclusion based on my records and our time together.

She didn't say goodbye. But she's ethical. Proceeding would be irresponsible unless I warranted the symptoms to justify its occurrence. I don't.

I've shared my situation with @MehGuy. I haven't mentioned pain in a while. This isn't my first rodeo. I know when God is working.

I had to ask. Only because I've seemingly brought cows back from the dead with oxytocin or dexadreson only to have them drop dead two days later in the middle of a passageway.

It was my job to be sceptical. I'll always be like it.

Maybe. Every 6 months my mom has to have a nerve area of her lower spine burned off with a laser because she has some kind of a nerve pinch type problem. She got spine issues like one missing vertebrae, scoliosis and probably some other things. But unlike other parts of the body that don't regenerate that part does... They call the procedure an "Oblation".


Besides that she got other issues with Pseudogout, Arthritis, and she was getting into serious drug interaction problems that were very scary. She had some kind of muscle spasm, in her shoulder and neck that would happen when she went into a deep sleep that kept her from getting much sleep. But it was found she was on too many meds, being prescribed by two many different doctors and nobody was checking for interaction problems until she changed doctors and the new guy figured it out. But previously we were worried she was developing some serious new neurological problem and she herself thought she was on the last lap of her race.

hat can happen when you're seeing multiple physicians at different practices. Mine are connected.

Yeah that was a lot of the problem, but the previous main doctor was the phone it in sort, any new problem he just prescribed some new medication, didn't spend much time with the person checking for things etc. Eventually they had to seek a second opinion, and came to realize how much the original doctor was screwing up. I think they actually had the basis of some kind of law suit because she was on some meds long term, that have bad long term side affects, and there was some other kind of misdiagnosis on some things.

It kind of also was a divine provision type thing. Because her new specialist who discovered the drug interaction problem and was some kind of award winning Physician, and his office was in the strip mall that is right outside of the their retirement park. Which is cool because with her pain medication she wasn't able to drive anymore, and she was able to go to different therapy appointments etc. without my dad driving her.
