That was kind of you. The next time you bless someone you’ll know what to say.
That’s the Holy Spirit at work in you. Your obedience and honesty will bless others. Many are ashamed to admit their struggles.
We had rain earlier and I got wet on the way to the store. But I didn’t mind. I picked up the fruit (I’m canning) and walked home with a smile. I had to beat the sun. I got a bad sunburn Saturday on my back!
That takes time and their are many forms if teaching. It was the first gift the Lord revealed to me. But I don’t teach in the church. I took lots of classes but that wasn’t the right application. Biblical womanhood through fashion and homemaking is more appealing.
Did you take the test?
You’re doing fine. If you really want to grow pray for discipline and faithfulness. That’s why I’m able to turn my life upside for Him with no complaint or impatience.
Aww, that’s sweet. Thankie.
I don’t drop anything. I use a shopping cart. And of course I’m smiling! I’m shopping at 10AM for peaches and cherries. What do I have to frown about? ~laughs
Thank you for the compliment. I’m knowledgeable but I don’t have a passion for teaching the bible. I learned a lot through my quiet time. I used to pray the Divine Office twice or more each day and did lectio divina each time. That’s roughly 3-5 hours for both. And I only pray scripture. After a while you absorb a lot.
But when it comes to business I’m amped. That’s my calling. It feeds my spirit and I never get tired of it. However, the business idea and structure was from the Lord. He provided a 10-year plan.
As for teachers, James addresses that. It’s a serious responsibility.
There will be shifts for sure but it gives you something to go on. I love that site. He provides a lot of feedback and ideas for each.
When I took the test leadership was first. Understandably because of my focus. But everything related to that was high.
Does your church have a men’s group? That would be great for you. And its evident you’d enjoy working with the needy and you’re hungry to learn.
Warren Wiersbe has a series of bible study books and commentaries that are a good place to start. You can find them on Scribd or look on Amazon. The eBooks go on sale for $2.99 or less.
If you prefer video and something more hands-on, check out Precept. I’ve taken several classes and they’re really good. You can work alone as well and go at the pace you choose. You’ll learn a lot of bible study skills through the courses.
Baby steps for everyone.
PS. Toastmasters is a good idea if you want to improve your communication skills. ;-)
