CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Recently I've been thinking a lot about how much I don't understand some people and some views. I've seen people being rude or disrespectful to others (myself included) just because they don't totally agree with them, and it bothers me. I feel that these people are misled and I keep praying for them, but my mind just won't stop worrying about it. It feels like my soul is struggling, trying to love everyone like I should but at the same time being deeply frustrated and hurt by some of them.
I had similar feelings about the previous site I spent a lot of time on and that was one of the main reasons why I made CF my "online home" instead, but now I'm feeling that same way here.It seems like since then I've been a mix of very happy at times, and very bothered at others.
You might consider reporting such posts to the mods for removal.
