• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The problem of 666 is one of the problems in which everyone has an opinion but nobody got the time to research the Holy Fathers.
That's why I posted this (perhaps some from you know it already)

666: What the Holy Fathers say about it?

Archbishop Averky of Syracuse says it going on the forehead and hand means that you will think and act as the beast does.

Yes - this is based on what is written in Old Testament. Till today there are some jews called ultra-Orthodox which put small quotes from the Law on their forehead and/or tie them at their hands.

In fact this is the most important part: let's say that one POW in WW2 had a svastika tattooed by the authorities on his hand or on his forehead: well, this thing isn't good, for sure, but the main difference is if that prisoner wanted to have this sign or not, that is he agrees with Nazi way or thinking (and doing) or not. Even worse, if he actually does such things.

They are called Tefillin (Exodus 13:9)or phylacteries and are worn during morning prayers by observant Jews now and for over 2000 yrs (Matthew 23:5). One of the prayers inside is the Shema, which Yeshua also prayed in Mark 12:29.

Tattooing criminals, slaves and prisoners on the face and hand was the common practise of ancient Greeks and Roman's (even many more such as the Japanese). Many times what was written was the offense of the person tattooing represented a kind of curse. The harlot of Babylon in Rev 17:5 had offended written on her forehead. God had to put a special kind of mark on Cain so he wont be killed. Anyhow in Revelation that's how antichrist brands his slaves and loyalists ln subjects.
