Non nobis domine sed tuo nomine da gloriam
This is flip side to the point we are making. You all are the ones claiming that Mary is the mother of Jesus' divinity, not us. She cannot be the mother of something that existed prior to herself.Oblio said:But this is not true, the human attributes of the Incarnate Jesus Christ did NOT exist prior to His birth.
What??!!! Mary didn't "give" Christ His humanity. Our state of being human is the product of God's work of creation. For that matter, Mary didn't even procreate for the establishment of Christ's human side. Her impregnation was something done to her, not with her.His humanity, absoulutely vital to our salvation, was freely given to Him by the Theotokos at a finite point in time.
If you want to venerate Mary for her obedience then, by all means, do so. However, what you posted in post #71 is nonsensical because you are combining Christ's attribute of divinity, an eternal attribute, with His temporal incarnation, an attribute exclusive to Christ's human nature. And just because you cannot understand Christological concepts does not make them non-sensical.
What you have expressed isn't a "Christological concept." It's nonsense and it violates the law of contradiction. Divinity cannot be both an eternal attribute and a temporal one.
God bless
