1. It's very clean. There is a national pride about such things as not throwing trash on the ground, that is not apparent in many other countries.
2. You have to deposit a mark into a machine to use a shopping cart. The mark is returned to you when you return the cart. (no shopping carts left on the side of the road, like here)(a missionary there told me this. And it always stuck with me of how very smart this is. And how much I wish my area would adopt this idea.)(I know this is a small thing. But I like it. )
3. Germany is Europe's largest econonomically.
4. Germany is very beautiful.
5. Germany is technologically advanced.

1. They still love each other as they head for their 50th wedding anniversary in a few years time

2. They taught us courtesy and consideration for our fellow human beings and have always modelled that for my siblings and me

3. They taught us to examine ourselves when tempted to criticize others

4. They have always had a home that is open to all who care to call in and they modelled welcoming, heartfelt hospitality to others

5. They are secure in who they are with regard to their ethnicity and their place in the society in which they live and they helped us to find that security about ourselves too.

God blessed me with wonderful parents!!
