4:40 a.m.

It seems that over the past 14yrs or so that I've been saved, God has a way of waking me up at 4:40 a.m. to show me little things, give peace over a troubled thought, etc.

Does anyone else have this kind of thing happen to them?

It's not really a specific time for me, but I always seem to be woken up by God at some point during the night. Sometimes I don't know why, other times I do. Sometimes I don't even wake up at all. God is amazing.

LOL Well, this isn't a restroom break. It's a sense of Him being there with me. Sometimes I get the strongest urge to pick up my bible and read a chapter or even just a single verse when that happens

I wake up almost every morning at 4:50 a.m. But, I'm usually getting ready for work......


However, I did wake up early one morning (around 2am) and had the strongest urge to get out of bed and pray, which I gladly did. I think the urge stemmed from a bad dream I was having.

I didn't clarify It doesn't happen all the time. Nor am I awake for the rest of the day. Once I read what He wants to show me, or He's given some insight to a particular thing, then I normally go back to sleep. But its ALWAYS 4:40am! lol...

Hehehe, you do realise that the really corny thing to do is look up chapter 4, verse 40 of the books of the bible.... hehe...

I believe the Lord has woke me up on several occasions, however most of the time I haven't been obedient. Stayed in bed or something like that. But I know that when I don't get up I miss out on what He has for me

I'm not really a whole lot familiar yet about what sort of small things God does in our every day lives.

I think your case is much more special than mine and i admire that. My case is when i set my alarm to go off at 6am, most of the time i would wake up before the alarm goes off, which is quite loud, and probably ruffle my family from sleep. I've even had times when i wake up just a few minutes before the time i set the alarm, doesn't matter it's 6 or 530am, i just wake up before that and i can switch off the alarm before it goes off and i'll get up. The good thing about waking up early for me is that i'm sure to read my bible first..if i get up later about 8am, i'll not do that most likely coz by then i'll feel the whole world is on the move while i just got up and i need to catch up.makes sense?

As i've said, i think your case is amazing so cherish it...

Recently, before I went to sleep, I invited God to speak to me during the night about whatever he wanted. At 3 am I woke up hearing knocks that came from outside, the outside of my bedroom wall! Fourteen knocks, then another fourteen knocks! Those knocks totally awakened me! I got the message. Yeow!

You are not alone. This happens to me also. And yes, it's always the same time. But it's not every night.
