Perhaps you really are Jim from Bartlesville, but I find it strange that you could have made up your mind to the extent that you have without reading the material. Especially troubling is your false accusation that we are the ones that pulled out of the ASI negotiations.

rosie the poll has 4 questions. it is only to see were everyone stands. the reason it reflects that danny is guilty is that those that have taken the poll believe he is guilty. if you vote it will change the results. if you think linda is lying then vote that she is lying, that is if you really believe that. this is just a thermomator.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out what the letter from Lance says sir. His assessment says it was you guys who were unwilling to cooperate with the upcoming investigations. That part is pretty clear. Had you guys done that we probably wouldn't be doing this mess right now. You must have been a part of the conference call between Gailon and myself a little earlier. Is that true or not? Interesting fellow that Gailon. He may need to attend some anger management classes in the future.

No it doesn't. Anyone who reads it can tell that it was ASI that pulled out, not us, contrary to what you told Gailon.

But the call does raise questions as to why you would take one side of any of this and take their word for it without checking out the other side.

And it also raises questions as to why you would falsely accuse Gailon of being angry in his call to you when he most certainly was not. He talked very calmly. But I was surprised why you had such a hard time letting him talk, why you had such a hard time listening to what he had to say.

It's kind of hard to listen to what someone has to say when about every 2-3 minutes the man is calling me a bold face liar. I'll bet you recorded that call. You want to play it for everyone to hear? I did not once call him a liar but he called me one several times. Play it Pickle and let everyone see how this man deals with someone he calls. Put it on your web-site that should increase your audience a lot.

Jesus Christ , when He was here told us that "By their fruits ye shall know them". Well, lets look at some fruits shall we.

Danny Shelton:

1. Danny Shelton ,a common man and a carpenter who followed the bidding of the Holy Spirit to build a ministry to counteract the counterfeit. For over 20 years now Danny Shelton has devoted his life to building and maintaining the world's only real truth message T.V. station. The SDA general conference didn't do it, and even though there were many discouraging words Danny went foward in faith and it was the faith of a man of God like Danny that brought this ministry to life. I highly recommend reading "Mending Broken People" by Kay Kuzma if you want to see some fantastic miracles that caused this ministry to be what it is today.

2.Danny and this ministry and it's programs have been responsible for bringing thousands to Christ world wide and even whole Sunday keeping churches are now keeping the Sabbath because of the work of this ministry.

3. 3ABN has nearly every week offers free literature on the Thursday 3ABN Live program such as books/booklets to anyone who would call in that spreads the gospel and helps folks live a better/heathier life.

This is not even scatching the service of the fruits of Danny and 3ABN but lets look at some of the fruits of the attackers now.

Bob Pickle:

1. I don't know Bob Pickle too well but I understand he is an ordained minister in the SDA church. From my dialogue so far with Mr. Pickle I have seen him misstate and use statements made by Danny Shelton out of context to misrepresent the facts, or to put it bluntly he has lied a lot. Using primarily hear-say evidence to impune a man of God and his ministry. Mr. Pickle has made personal attacks against me and nearly anyone who has disagreed with him.

2. Bob Pickle, even though being a minister , has refused to do the bidding of Christ on how to handle disputes and problems with brother's and sister's in the church as outlined in Matt 18.

3. Bob Pickle has allied himself with those who have called for the withdrawal of funds from 3ABN.

4. Bob Pickle, Gailon Joy and Daryl Fawcet, have crusaded to assassinate Danny's character by misapplying statements taken out of the context of what Danny has said, i.e. hiding the gun as a reason for divorce and that Danny admitted he had no Bilbical grounds for divorce.

Again, I could go on and on cutting and pasting quotes where they have misrepresented the facts or misapplied a statement to mean something other than what it actually meant. IOW, this isn't even scratching the service either.

Again, I appeal to common sense here. Who is making the most noise on all of this. Who started this whole fiasco really? It seems odd to me that over a year and a half went by since Danny and Linda's divorce before this all came to a head. What took you guys so long to get mad? Look deep into your hearts and think about the spirit that may be driving your hate right now. Is Christ about hate and contention?

Jim. You are incorrect. You didn't let him talk over and over again, and toward the end, I think it was after you insisted that we pulled out of the ASI negotiations, he let you know that that was a lie. He did not call you a liar every 2-3 minutes of the entire conversation.

Further, you have once again made a vague accusation of individuals telling lies, without giving one single specific example. I believe I asked you to give us specific examples, and I believe I told you that I would request those who had told lies to make things right.

To summarize the recent discussion as far as facts are concerned, and to deal with only facts:

On April 21, 2004, Danny Shelton stated that the marriage was over after Linda hid his gun.
On July 17, 2004, Danny Shelton indicated that he had no proof that Linda had committed fornication, and thus he did not have biblical grounds for divorcing her a month before.
On August 5, 2006, at ASI, Danny Shelton informed him that his new wife had been chasing him for 17 years, and that he had finally given in.
On November 27, 2006, Walt Thompson indicated that Danny had told him that the child molestation allegations against Tommy Shelton were 30 years old, when they were as recent as 3 years old at that time.
At the same time Walt Thompson indicated that those allegations were all due to a feud between Pastor Glenn Dryden and Tommy, when Dryden didn't move to Illinois until 8 years after Tommy's ordination was suspended.
In late October or early November 2006, Danny stated that he would not reveal how much he had profited from the TCTR book until the settlement of his and Linda's property, which suggests that not only is he trying to keep his profits a secret from his board, but he is also trying to gyp his ex.
A influential individual has indicated that Danny probably made hundreds of thousands of dollars from that book, and that that constitutes a conflict of interest and could cost 3ABN its tax exempt status.

The problem is simple... you cannot and should not compare people to other people.... though we adventists are good at comparitive religion... IF we are to use comparisons then we are to compare ourselves and others TO CHRIST.... period..... Paul said ALL have sinned and come short.... The bible says that ALL of our righteousness is but FILTHY RAGS... so your comparison Jim between Danny Shelton and Pickle is offensive, and suggests that perhaps you have no clue.... man looks on the outward, God looks at the heart.....

How can you notice unanswered questions when you yourself ignore them?

On your website you quote a letter from Gailon Joy to Harold Lance of ASI, and he introduces you as part of Linda's team and identifies you as a Pastor.

Are you a ordained minister?

And from reading this thread it seems you wanted to call and verify Jim's identity, but Mr Joy called him instead, so you must have given him Jim's phone number which is not publically available?? did you let Jim know that you were also on the line? If not, why not.

You mean he wrote a letter to Linda's sister saying

Was that before or after that same sister recommended
out of state non SDA marriage counselors to Linda, and She and Danny went to them for counseling?

It took me from last evening until now, with sleep, church time, etc. in between to read the last dozen or so pages of this thread.

I am really surprised at how close-minded people are here.

If I had been close-minded like that, I never would have become a Seventh-day Adventist.

I am open-minded to all of this, meaning that, if I see evidence either way that clearly refutes what I now consider first-hand statements, etc., I will respond accordingly, however, most of the pages I read here were people attacking people, which doesn't go well with me, irrespective of who was responsible.

Mr. Fawcett, perhaps you ought to re-examine your evidence concerning this topic because at the very foundation you speak of is trust in people who are untrustworthy.

The Bible is not "untrustworthy." There is a big difference between accepting what the Bible says with an open mind and accepting what untrustworthy people say. Even their supposed documentation is untrustworthy.

No one wants to argue these points. Just watch and see who starts the next battle. That will give you a clue.

Remember there is always one who starts a battle and one who defends the truth of the matter. The one you want to blame is the one who started this thread in the first place.

Scroll back and see who started this thread. Then you'll have your answer.

Just a question I don't know the answer to. Was any church discipline performed on Linda? This should be public record as it would be before the "whole church" if she was unrepentant.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

May I ask each of you to consider the topic of this thread using simple logic along with the application of Christian principals.

In the original thread posting the poll I made an anaology of this topic to a bus. I will repeat that comparison, in part, for those who may not have read it, or perhaps not have understood it.

Please understand, that for me personaly, this whole subject is somewhat like drinking vinegar.
However, if I may, I would like to make additional observation.

I'm sure that everyone here remembers how Peter walked on the water until he took his eyes off Jesus. When he took his eyes off of Jesus he sank. God's power left him. Jesus calmed the wind and the sea, yet He had to ask the disciples where was their faith.

Now I must ask you; If Jesus Christ could calm the tempest, somthing that can not be calmed by man, don't you belive that He has the power to calm this controversy? Satan would have us take our eyes off of our Savior, no matter the reason, for it is only when we take our eyes off of Christ that we sink into the tempestuous sea of Satan's deceptions.

Let me make one more analogy; When you are driving your car you have the choice of looking in the rear view mirror to see where you have been and the hazards you have passed, or you may look forward through the windshield to avoid hazards that are still infront of you.
The rear view mirror is only 10% the size of the windshield therefore it would just make sense that we should be looking ahead for hazards at least 90% of the time.

I had taken courses in sociology where we learned how to conduct polling. I have conducted many exercises of research so I don't need to take any for that. I can show bibliographies of reaserach that I have done; for instance see these two:

In the seminary I did a paper on the theology of the book of Joanh. The prof wanted a minimum of 15 pages for the paper. My bibliography was 15 pages long. He noted that it was excellant.

I had taken a couple of courses in logic--I was even working on a computer program that could analyze text for logical consistency.
