3abn is a wonderful TV station. There are sermons by Doug Batchelor and Shawn Boonstra and many others. There are some excellent cooking classes which I particularly enjoy. And I do enjoy those that Danny will interview, I feel like I'm meeting new people when I watch.

I believe 3abn has only made good programming. I haven't noticed anyone talking against Linda on the program. In fact, I've never even heard her name mentioned. I especially enjoy 3abn if I'm sick at home. It is comforting to me.

I didn't mean to make my message confusing. I've watched 3abn since they began broadcasting. I really liked Stephen Bohr's series. Did any of you watch those? He had a lot of good information. But Doug Batchelor is my most favorite speaker.

Thank you, Sophia7, for your reminder.

I suppose that last rule would also mean that we should avoid threats of legal action? There's been a lot of those kind of threats over on BSDA lately.

I am sure you are one of those that have "concerns" of what this would do to the church if it became public, and then proceeded along with pickle and several others to do all you can to make it public. You all are about as concerned for the church as you are 3abn.

If you go to http://www.save3abn.com/3abn-live-06-8-10-its-all-lies.htm you will get to read quotes from and see actual footage of a broadcast that, to all appearances, called Linda's daughter a liar and said Linda had the spirit of Antichrist.

The various ones who have broadcasted on 3ABN should not be put in a bad light since they aren't responsible for everything Danny does. So of course we can all be blessed by Boonstra and Batchelor even though we disapprove of the choices that Danny has made.

One of the aggrieved told me that he didn't think Adventists would really care about any of this as long as they get to watch their favorite programs on TV. I for one do not think that we as a people are that far off base that we would have that kind of attitude.

He's slicker than that. There are a number of people he hasn't mentioned by name, but he has referred to them nonetheless.

When Shelley Quinn on August 10, 2006, referred to a man of God who was mending broken people, and how he interfered with a sinful relationship, and how the woman of that couple became offended and got the help of her daughter to do away with the man of God, a daughter who became entangled in the web of deceit, Shelley was referring to Linda and her daughter. She was referring to Linda's daughter's allegations of sexual assault by Danny. And she was calling Linda's daughter a liar.

Even if she is a liar, you don't do that on global TV, especially if her testimony was supposed to be confidential.

It's going to be made public sooner or later. That's part of the problem. When you have someone who refuses to step aside regardless of how many allegations there are, and when he is in the limelight to the extent he is, on a global scale, mind you, at some point it will all be in the media.

Just today someone told me that a friend of theirs is the owner of a major newspaper. I don't want it in the newspapers, but there are those who don't mind, and who think things will not be fixed unless it is.

But if it hits the media, there is a good chance that the media will ask me my opinion, and I will tell them what I have already said here: When it comes down to it, Adventists don't tolerate stuff like this. We are out to help people keep the 10 Commandments. We don't condone breaking them. The only reason this has gone on so long is because we've been kept in the dark.

Tomatoe, you are kidding right? The allegation was made by Dan Shelton and his proof is what Linda has asked be presented for examination. She was not the accuser. She does not have the burden of going forward.

This is in stark contrast to the situation regarding Tommy Shelton and his alleged misconduct. After the allegations surfaced, several different documents were presented in support of the charges. First hand witnesses are a lot more persuasive than anything I have seen in support of a finding Linda commited actual physical adultery.

So this then leads me to the following question. Why was Linda treated as she was by 3abn and Tommy Shelton was given such a fond farewell for all the 3abn viewers to see? Can you explain given the proof that has been presented? (BTW, Rosie55 did you watch that farewell and did you know about the allegations against Tommy Shelton and wonder why there was such a difference in how the two situations were handled?)

Can you find out in which of the asset categories WDQN appears in? Danny paid $600,000 cash for it in 2003, but I'm not sure where it is supposed to appear in the 2005 990. If you can find out where in that financial summary it is, that would let me know where to look in the 990.

I don't have any more specific information than what I posted, so I'm not sure how that would fit into these categories. I was also wondering about the amount of revenue that is generated by sales of videos, CDs, etc., which is also not specificially mentioned in the statement, as far as which category covers it.

Pickle. I'm shocked! Why do you make such threats? This tells me you really do not care about 3abn but you do want it to go down. You lied about that didn't you.

I'm embarrassed for you! You need to be careful that God does not strike you down for your hateful threats. Do you not think that God is not powerful enough to take this into His own hands? He can lay you so low you will regret ever messing with His work.

I doubt very much that the world will care about your bringing 3abn to the forefront news anyway. They have real news to report. Even the Enquirer type of news wouldn't want it.

Thanks tomatoe, BTW, I love tomatoes, I grow them every year in my raised beds in front of my house.

Anyway, in truth if you really think about all of this, what you said above is very profound. It just isn't right to make a major public display out of something associated with our church so the whole church is impuned along with the accused. In this case to potentially thousands of viewers world wide. This was one of the main things that started to come to my mind as I pondered and prayed over all of this. Someone who is genuinely interested in righting a wrong will not make a spectacle of the problem/s. Christians are counciled by Christ Himself to deal with problems in a way that is not like this debacle at all. Look at the big picture here, who is ultimately served in all of this? To my way of thinking the furthest this all should have gone is to the church elders and possibly the church itself at Thompsonville.

Now, again I say, Tommy is a different matter all together if the allegations made agains him are true.
