  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Spinning babies will most likely have some information on how to turn your baby. Personally my third baby was breech until 41 weeks. I used to lie with my shoulders on the floor and my hips raised up on the sofa with pillows under my back for support. Then I massaged the baby down towards my ribs. This important especially if your baby has engaged. Then I firmly massaged/pushed the baby in a circular motion with both hands to encourage it to turn. I did this a number of times a day, and only for 5 min or so at a time, as you get too light headed if you stay that way for too long.
Not sure if this is an help, but jgonz and couple of others will probably be able to help you much better.

Thank you! I have a feeling she will turn around. But here the trend is that the doctors would sign for c-section just week before due date. My baby is due in 10th, this means c-section in 4th February. I know they can not force me, but I do not wish do fight with doctors:) .

Here is another problem, why this news made me so sad. I had a very good doctor, but she left the hospital just in January. I will see my new doctor on monday for EKG. She is very young (became a doctor in 2006) and I do not know what to espect from her. I have a plan to contact tomorrow for counsel two older doctors I know and trust in this hospital.

I tried to do the exercises. The problem is I cant figure out what position she has right now:) .

Try to Avoid having a c-section before your due date! Due dates are just _estimates_ and can be off. It's best to wait until you go into labor naturally and Then do the c-section. (Plus that gives you more time for the baby to turn.)

Tea mentioned www.spinningbabies.com Great site~ lots of info. :)

Yes, jgonz, I will. What you say, is exactly what an older doctor said to me while counselling. I was seeing her this morning for ultrasound and she said, that there are some younger doctors who suggest c-section week before right away if the baby is in this position ("legs first" or how you say in english), and added that these young doctors can not do this kind of final desicion without elder doctors. She confirmed also exactly what I had figured out in my heart while worring:( here. I will avoid c-section until my labor starts and agree with c-section only if it is really medically complicated for the baby to come with natural birth. I am satisfied, that dis doctor (she is a head in the birth-section) wrote in her desicion that we will wait until the labor. I will see also my new young doctor today, but now I am much more confident.

I believe in my baby that she will know how to come safely:) . I also pray. What I feel right now is that I must become friend also with myself and my body. I have had feeling that the baby is breech because of my stress with the work. I planned to finish with January, but since I have been working with our own company before and we had to receive very radical decisions about some contracts just 2 weeks agoo, I had to work also all the last week. I could not sleep very much and I think I was running around and worring too much. Now it is over and we eliminated all possibilities for coming up the problems again. But I feel the guilt... I know that this is not reasoned, but still...

I will have rest with reading the spinningbabies site today:)

You might want to ask your doctor about doing an external version as well. http://www.storknet.com/cubbies/childbirth/exrg1.htm
My 2nd daughter was breech and we tried this with her and I found it to be a safe procedure even if it didn't work for us. :( I tried the different positions, too without success (my daughter is just stubborn like that!). If you're really wanting to avoid a c-section then look into all options. You may want to check with a midwife, too if you have one available. I found that my midwives were much more receptive to looking into alternative options to my breech pregnancy whereas my doctor tried to immediately schedule a c-section. I was talking with a midwife about this subject recently and she also mentioned that she refers her patients with breech babies to chiropractors as well. I haven't done much research on what this involves, but it might be worth looking into.

Hope all works out well for you!! :)

I am so happy you came to the pregnant woman chat. I should check out the whole pregnant forum more, but lots of time just stop in the one thread. Course now I am sitting here with my rear end in the air typing on my laptop so I have lots of time. My dh told me to just take the day off that he and my older girls would take care of my chores and I was to concentrate on flipping the baby. I hope some of the links I put on in the other thread help. I am also stressing a bit and wonder if that is not helping. Dh has been remodeling our kitchen, and my sister is driving up when I go into labor but she lives 12 hours away so my cousin is staying with my kids till she gets here and it is all making me worry. My older girls are very responsible but my 5 year ds is a handful.

Are you doing any other things to prepare for labor since I can't do any excersises and such that might engage the baby breech, my midwife suggested taking evening primrose oil capsules to get my cervix to start softening without the usual pressure on it. She would really like me to go into labor ASAP after the external. So the baby has as little time as possible to flip. She has a list of natural induction methods for me. Beause my first was a c-setion I can not be medially induced.

Praying for you!!
