CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've noticed that too...
My town was beautiful about a week ago. All the leaves were just starting to get that "aww" factor to them, and it was still, well, KINDA warm.
Now, only a few survivors live on the trees branches, the snow has came a few times, and it gets dark at 7pm.
I'd have to say it's the second best season, because it means snowboarding is right around the corner.
sorry, it's just my favorite holiday, i guess i was excited

I love Thanksgiving too, Mina! And I have family coming up again that I get to cook for, and everything! I need ideas on how to outdo what I did last year.
I love the leaves changing, and falling. And the smell of fires at night. I love it being cool enough for a jacket, and that the mosquitoes start dying. Heh.

*sings "it's the most wonderful time of the year" and frolics through leaves* Ilove it soooo!!! the only thing to top it would be having someone to share it with. I have wanted to have a fall wedding forever and want leaf bouquets instead of all flowers.

I love the holiday as well as the nice 3-day workweek that accompanies it. I like the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving too. (I've always enjoyed the Halloween special although I never understood Linus's fascination with the Great Pumpkin.)
I like to start celebrating Christmas in early November myself. It comes and goes too quickly for me. I usually end up feeling cheated. So, if I start early it's like my way of extending the holiday.
