  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And our flight leaves. I'm trying to be faithful and not be fearful, but I am really struggling. Can I please request some more prayers my way? I know there are a million more important things in the world to be scared of, but I am really having a hard time. My face is broken out, I'm getting a rash...it's getting really bad. I want to enjoy this vacation! God please help me not to be fearful!

I am praying for you my friend. Statistically it is the safest form of travel. Did you know that you could fly everyday Monday through Friday, twice on Saturday and three times on Sunday and it would still take you 2000 years before you would be involved in a plane crash...The stats are on your side my dear. However that aside I want you to know I am praying both for and with you, all will be well, enjoy your trip and tell us all about it when you come home...
food for thought: my sister is a pilot for delta, if you tell me where you are going I will have her track the flight and weather patterns for you to help give you some comfort :) You will be fine hon!
also post again the night before, remind us all and we will be with you in prayer...always
